WhatsApp Web Now Available For iOS Users

Earlier this year, WhatsApp released a web client called WhatsApp Web for Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry. iOS was left out due to Apple platform limitations.

I think WhatsApp worked around the limitations or the limitations have been removed by Apple because WhatsApp Web is now available for iOS users.

Apple Store iOS App Now Available in Singapore

After today’s update to Apple Store iOS App, I just realised the app is now available for all Singapore App Store users! Previously, I tried to download it and it just say it is not available in my region yet.

With WWDC 2015 taking place from 8th June 2015 till 12th June 2015, Tim Cook will probably announce the second wave of countries for the Apple Watch and I am pretty sure Singapore will be in. On a side note, Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has listed Apple Watch in its database.

Loop & Meet App

Loop & Meet (SingTel link) is an App by SingTel that allows you to manage RSVP to your events. It is different from Facebook Event because each of your guest will receive an SMS for your event and they can RSVP to the event by replying to the SMS with a #yes, #no or #maybe. Not everyone check Facebook often, but most do at least reply to SMSes.

It is free on the Apple App Store as well as Google Play.

SG Florist iPhone/iPad App

Valentine’s Day is around the corner or to be exact next Tuesday. If you are looking to give your girlfriend/fiance/wife flowers, I would totally recommend Far East Flora (FEF.com).

I have ordered many flowers from FEF.com and each time I am never disappointed with the quality of the flowers. I tried some other companies for flowers during Valentine’s Day and the quality is horrible, there is once they even staple the stalk of the rose to the wrapper!

Yelp Now Available in Singapore App Store

I am travelling to the US this December for the first time and I was looking for the US version of HungryGoWhere, many people recommended Yelp, but unfortunately it is not available in Singapore App Store.

I tweeted about it and mentioned @yelp. They replied me 2 days later via Twitter asking me which country I am in, I told them Singapore and in a few hours time, they opened it for Singapore App Store! Kudos to the Yelp Mobile Team!

Mac App Store

As you probably heard by now, the Mac App Store is live. It is bundled together with OS X 10.6.6 update. US$4.99 is the new US$0.99 in the Mac App Store. I have not gotten any paid app from there yet as I bought all the software directly from the software company itself and hence the Mac App Store is pretty useless for me in terms of paid app. I only wish you can transfer license for those Mac software that you have bought to the Mac App Store so that it will handle the updating for you. But right now that is not possible. The only way is you have to buy it again which is stupid. Lets see what happen to the Mac App Store eventually.
