The NudeAudio Move S came free with my purchase of the NudeAudio Move M. Its official US price is US$49.99, while in Singapore it retails for S$59. NudeAudio products here are distributed by Digital Hub, a subsidiary of Ban Leong.
My friend Benjamin Eng backed the NudeAudio Super M on Kickstarter. As a thank-you, NudeAudio offered backers a free Move S when buying the Move M. Benjamin flagged the deal last October, so I asked him to grab one.
After reviewing the X-mini CLEAR and consulting my audiophile blogger friend Renhao, we agreed it wasn't worth S$299. So I sought another portable speaker for my dad, and Renhao recommended the Creative Sound Blaster Roar, a well-reviewed, value pick.
Today marks the global launch of the X-mini CLEAR, available in retail stores for S$299 or online at the X-mini Online Store. It packs a custom 2.1 audio system with a 70mm active subwoofer and signature 40mm ceramic drivers.
XMI, the Singapore company behind the award-winning X-mini Capsule Speaker, has unveiled its latest and largest speaker, the X-mini CLEAR, a custom 2.1 audio system. It launches in November 2014 for S$299, with a special pre-order price.
The Braven BRV-1 IPX5 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker retails for S$228 at physical stores like EpiCentre and Infinite, or online via Ban Leong's eStore. Besides being a lightweight, rugged Bluetooth speaker at 346g, it doubles as an emergency portable charger.
Launched last month, the UE BOOM is a 360° Bluetooth wireless speaker that's both water-resistant and shockproof. It's in stores for S$299 in four colours, Blue, Red, Black, and White. My first impression: loud sound with decent bass.
I received the ATake Rain Dance Speakers as a gift from my cousin. If you'd like one, they sell for S$39.90 at Challenger, Courts, Popular, and Newstead. They're great for outdoor parties like a BBQ, or as a gift exchange.
I picked up a pair of Bose Companion 2 Series II multimedia powered speakers from ATLAS at Plaza Singapura for S$199, replacing my old Creative Inspire 4400 4.1 speakers. A tidy upgrade that should sound noticeably cleaner on my desk.
