Singapore turns 50 this year, and businesses everywhere back the SG50 tagline, including a favourite of mine, LEGO. Its #LEGORebuildSG campaign encourages fans to rebuild memories, and these SG50 Limited Edition Singapore Icons Mini Builds are part of it.
The original Final Fantasy VII launched on 31st January 1997 for the PlayStation, then Windows PC in 1998, where I first played and got hooked. My favourite RPG, I'd long hoped for a remake, which Sony just announced.
Microsoft //Build/ Singapore 2015 took place on 28th May 2015 at Resorts World Sentosa. Build is Microsoft's developer conference, much like Google's I/O or Apple's WWDC, and this marked the first time it travelled beyond San Francisco.

At Tech in Asia, HAProxy load-balances requests across two nginx web servers, but since every request arrives from the balancer, nginx logs only its IP. HAProxy's forwardfor option forwards the original client IP, which nginx can then read and block.

I received the Mophie Power Reserve as a door gift at Mophie's official Singapore launch. It retails for S$69 on the Apple Online Store, though I hear it's being discontinued. It's a compact 1,350mAh power bank weighing 55g.

I bought the Xiaomi LED Light for S$6.99 during Mi Fan Festival 2015, picking up both the blue and white at a reasonable price. A neat alternative to your phone's flashlight, it plugs into a power bank as a torch.
