Jawbone UP24

The Jawbone UP24 was released back on the 10th April 2014 in Singapore and it currently retails for S$249. It comes in three sizes (Small, Medium and Large) and available in two colors (Onyx aka Black and Persimmon aka Red).

The Jawbone UP24 is an updated model of the original Jawbone UP which is still being sold for S$189.90.
The UP24 adds in wireless syncing via Bluetooth 4.0 LE which is missing from the original UP and it still manages to maintain the same weight; 19g (Small), 22g (Medium) and 23g (Large). Having used both the UP and UP24, I totally love the addition of this feature because it eliminates the hassle of removing the band just to sync.

Watching Netflix In Singapore With UnoTelly SmartDNS

There are two ways in which you can watch Netflix in Singapore. The first is using a VPN and the other is using a DNS. Personally, I prefer the DNS method because you just have to configure your router’s DNS and point to UnoTelly’s SmartDNS. With your router configured, everybody connected to the router can easily access Netflix on their computer or on their mobile/tablet devices.

What Is Netflix (From: Wikipedia)
Netflix, Inc. is an American provider of on-demand Internet streaming media available to viewers in North and South America, the Caribbean, and parts of Europe (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom), and of flat rate DVD-by-mail in the United States, where mailed DVDs are sent via Permit Reply Mail. The company was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. It started its subscription-based digital distribution service in 1999, and by 2009 it was offering a collection of 100,000 titles on DVD and had surpassed 10 million subscribers.

Nokia Wireless Charging Stand (DT-910)

I won the Nokia Wireless Charging Stand (DT-910) worth S$128 from TheGeekyBeng’s Great Nokia Giveaways.

This is the second Qi wireless charger that I have, the first being the Anker Ultra-Slim Qi-Enabled Wireless Charging Pad. Both wireless chargers have no problem charging my Lumia 930 and Nexus 5 with their cases on.

Just Mobile HeadStand

I am currently using a headphone stand that Li Xiang got for me on Taobao for CN¥190 (S$38). It is pretty expensive considering it is a rip off of Just Mobile’s HeadStand and the quality is shit/horrible.

I have been eying on the Just Mobile HeadStand for a very long time but similar to Just Mobile AluCable Mini, the shipping cost puts me off. In Singapore, I saw it being sold at Stereo for a ridiculously marked up price of S$89.90.

Daiyo USB 3.0 A To Micro B Cable

The USB 3.0 cable of my Western Digital My Passport Essential SE (USB 3.0) decided to give up on me after almost four years and hence I have to get a replacement cable.

I was expecting it to be difficult to find since USB 3.0 cables are not that widespread yet in physical stores. Luckily, I was wrong and I managed to find the Daiyo USB 3.0 A To Micro B Cable from Funan’s Challenger and it cost S$13.90 (after member’s discount: S$12.51).

Smarter Ways To Backup Your Data

I am a huge fan of Western Digital and I use their products for my backup purposes, I thought I might share their article on “Smarter Ways To Backup Your Data”. Personally, I am using some of the Western Digital products listed in the article below.

I am using Synology DiskStation DS413j as my NAS and inside it I have 4x 1TB WD Red hard drives. The NAS is used for backing up my media files for my Mac and PC.
