3rd Day Of School
School ended at 11.30am, home by 12.30, shattered after sleeping at 2am and waking at 8. Did body modelling in my first CANI practical; it looks good, if more cartoon than human. The lecturer approved anyway.

Just back from Funan with my copy of Warcraft 3. I'd expected few people, since students had school later, but there were already huge queues. Four shops were selling it, 1,000 copies each for today only.
Updated the blog software to b2 0.6pre3, fixing several bugs I'd found along the way, though one in b2archives2.php still eludes me. If you spot any more, please mail or ICQ me. The fixes are now in.
Posting from school; first practical of the semester and the lecturer's late, due at 10am, now 10.30 with no sign of him. Just reset my login password, since some of us, me included, couldn't log in.
Back from school, plenty of breaks, since there are no tutorials first week. Met four of my seven lecturers; I'll know them all by week's end. No escaping Java again, after taking it in Year 1.
Caught the World Cup final at Civic Plaza, great fun, with 7,500 people and Perfect 10 hosts Daniel Ong and Jean Danker keeping us going. My pick proved right: Brazil are world champions, beating Germany 2-0.
Slept the whole day, exhausted. Today's match was at 7pm; apologies for the wrong time. Turkey beat Korea 3-2, with Hakan Sukur scoring the World Cup's fastest goal at 11 seconds. The Korean crowd were sporting afterwards.
Slept at 5am after chatting with a secondary school classmate studying in LA. He told me about Singapore Express, a restaurant selling only Singaporean food like laksa and nasi lemak. Even Singapore Airlines orders from them.
Brazil beat Turkey 1-0 to reach the final against Germany this Sunday, 30 June at 7.30pm, with the third-place playoff on Saturday. Got my SP timetable today, and it's a mess; so many clashes need sorting.
My prediction held: Germany beat Korea 1-0 and head to the final, most likely against Brazil. The semi-finals kicked off with Germany versus Korea, and Germany duly owned them. No more lucky Sundays for the Koreans.
Finally tracked down the last Warcraft 3 figurine at PK Computer in Funan; my collection's complete. I'll grab my copy of Warcraft 3 at midnight on 2 July at Funan, where they're holding a celebration. Can't wait.
The World Cup's winding down, four matches and seven days left. Who'll be this year's champion? The semis: Germany versus Korea on Tuesday, 25 June, and Brazil versus Turkey on Wednesday, both at 7.30pm Singapore time.
Turkey beat Senegal 1-0 in extra time and will face Brazil again in the semis on Wednesday, 26 June. Go Brazil! Korea edged Spain 5-3 on penalties, so damn lucky, every day's a Sunday for them.
Germany beat USA 1-0 as expected. Brazil won too; England are out. The semi-finalists: Brazil and Germany, after England 1 Brazil 2 and Germany 1 USA 0. Tomorrow's the last quarter-final day, with Spain versus Korea.
No World Cup matches today. Pre-ordered my Warcraft III at PK Computer in Heeren for $69.90, plus two Warcraft III figurines, the last two there; I need the third soon. They'll join my Starcraft figurine collection.
No matches today or tomorrow, but the quarter-finals run through week. Finished the undead campaign in Warcraft III, Orcs next. Friday: England versus Brazil at 2.30pm, Germany versus USA at 7.30pm; Saturday brings Spain versus Korea.
Can't believe Korea beat Italy; Italy are out, so sad. I hope Spain trash Korea next. Japan gave their all, but a lucky Turkey edged them 1-0 to reach the quarter-final against Senegal. Brazil, England through.
Brazil did it, beating Belgium 2-1 to face England in the quarter-final. As the commentator noted, England have never beaten Brazil; will history repeat? We'll find out Friday, 21 June at 2.30pm. Sorry for late update.
Spain edged Ireland 3-2 on penalties to reach the quarter-final. Senegal beat Sweden 2-1 in extra time, odd, with golden goal straight to penalties, no normal extra time. Posted Warcraft III screenshots, captured in semi-transparent TGA.
Germany scored a winner at 88 minutes to reach the quarter-final. England thrashed Denmark 3-0, through, likely to meet Brazil. The quarter-finalists are Germany and England, after Germany 1 Paraguay 0 and Denmark 0 England 3.
Damn, I can't believe Korea beat Portugal. Portugal just lacked luck; hopefully they do better at the next World Cup in Germany. I hope Korea draws Brazil and gets thrashed. From Group D, Korea and USA advance.
The game I've awaited for two years, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, has gone gold, shipping to retailers worldwide on 3 July. Start saving: the collector's edition runs S$110, the standard $60, though prices aren't confirmed.
