At HP's Booth 8428 Direct Counter, the 16GB and 32GB HP TouchPads sell for S$118 and S$188 respectively, before GST, during the first two days of Comex 2011, 1st to 2nd September. Just 100 units of each are available daily.

DBS Bank has launched Asia's first regional Facebook Places and Check-in Deals campaign, spanning Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Jakarta, and Taipei. It's open to anyone with a supported mobile device, via the Facebook app or mobile browser.
Bluelounge Notebook Kit
The Bluelounge Notebook Kit can be bought from the Design Museum Shop at Red Dot Traffic for S$31.05. I also spotted it at EpiCentre in ION Orchard for S$39, slightly dearer, and at Challenger in IMM for a cheaper S$29.
Bluelounge Cool Feet
I hadn't seen the Bluelounge Cool Feet sold in Singapore until yesterday at Challenger in IMM. Mine came as part of the Notebook Kit I bought from the Design Museum Shop for S$31.05. Challenger IMM sells it for S$18.90.

Steve Jobs has resigned as Apple's CEO, with Tim Cook taking over. His health is taking a toll, and I wish him all the best. Let's not forget it was he who brought Apple back from the brink of bankruptcy.
Nokia Launches Nokia 700, Nokia 701 & Nokia 600
Nokia has launched the Nokia 700, 701, and 600, powered by Symbian Belle, the successor to Symbian Anna. I was invited to the WOM World launch event in Hong Kong but couldn't make it, the 700 being the smallest.
Bluelounge Cableyoyo
I couldn't find the Bluelounge Cableyoyo sold in Singapore. Mine came as part of the Bluelounge Notebook Kit, which includes two Cableyoyos, from the Design Museum Shop for S$31.05. HardwareZone forum posts mention iStudio, but I checked a few outlets.
Bluelounge CableBox Mini
I got the Bluelounge CableBox Mini for S$37.35 at the Design Museum Shop in Red Dot Traffic. Challenger sells it cheaper, at S$34.90, but only in Pink, Blue, and Yellow. I needed white to match my white Huawei Terminal.
Symbian Anna Singapore Variant Will Be Released On 2nd September 2011
Symbian Anna, the Singapore variant, releases on 2nd September 2011. You can download it via Ovi Suite v3.1.1 on a PC, or over the air directly to your smartphone. The latest software update for Symbian phones brings significant enhancements.

I got the Bluelounge POP from DG LifeStyle Shop at VivoCity for S$18. The service there is going from bad to worse, and if the POP weren't unavailable elsewhere in Singapore, I wouldn't bother with that shop.

I got the Bluelounge CableDrop from Challenger at Funan for S$16.90, or S$15.21 with member's price. Just one more, the Cableyoyo, and my Bluelounge cable management collection will be complete.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 With 3G Now Available In Singapore
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 3G (16GB) is now available in Singapore at S$848 without contract. Samsung launched its sale on 19th August 2011, pairing the Tab's ultra-thin form factor with a lightweight design.
HP Kills WebOS
Just last month, HP announced the TouchPad's Singapore availability at S$699 for 16GB, and today they've announced they're killing WebOS. What a turnaround. I wonder whether they'll clear the existing TouchPads at a discount, since I wouldn't mind one cheaply.
Logitech Harmony 200 Remote Unveiled
I'd long wanted a Logitech Harmony remote for my TV and media player, but they were always pricey. Now there's a more affordable option, the Logitech Harmony 200, arriving in Singapore by early September 2011 at a recommended S$39.
Firefox 6.0 Released
Firefox 6.0 is officially out, though the final build leaked two days ago. It arrives two months after Firefox 5.0 and five after 4.0. At this rate, the version numbers will soon become meaningless, I've already lost track of Chrome.

As a huge Bluelounge fan, my latest purchase is the CableClip. I grabbed all three sizes, Small, Medium, and Large, from Challenger at Funan, each S$16.90 or S$15.21 with member's price. They're a touch expensive, but worth it.
Google to Acquire Motorola Mobility
Wow, Google is acquiring Motorola Mobility for US$12.5 billion, which took me completely by surprise. It seems future Nexus phones may be made by Motorola. I half expect Microsoft to acquire Nokia next, for US$27 billion or less.
Bridging Huawei HG256s & D-Link DIR-855
On 24th June 2011, I visited the StarHub Shop at VivoCity to sign up for MaxOnline Infinity, StarHub's fibre service. I chose the MaxInfinity Elite plan, offering 150Mbps download, 75Mbps upload, and 15Mbps international speeds, at S$82.18 a month.
HP TouchPad Available In Singapore
HP has announced that the Wi-Fi HP TouchPad will be available in Singapore from 12th August 2011, through authorised retailers Best Denki, Courts, and Harvey Norman, and direct from HP. For National Day, the 16GB model comes with a case.
Windows Phone Mango RTM
Windows Phone Mango, also known as Windows Phone 7.5, has reached Released to Manufacturing, meaning we'll have it soon, likely around September or October 2011. The RTM build is 7720, and the Windows Phone development team officially signed off.
