After nearly 24 hours of downtime, the site is finally back online. We removed the server from REACH Datacenter at 10pm and reached Qala around 11pm. Two mistakes: we forgot a CentOS installation DVD for Derrick's server, which delayed us.
Notice For Scheduled Maintenance 27/03/2009
Michael and I are moving this server from REACH Datacenter to Qala Datacenter on Friday, 27th March 2009. The site is expected down for eight hours, from 2200hrs Friday to 0600hrs Saturday, though hopefully it'll take less time than that.
Happy 25th Birthday To Me
I turned 25 today, a quarter of a centurion, and this website itself was born on 24th March 2002! I had a simple birthday lunch at Shokudo at Cineleisure before catching Dragonball: Evolution, with tickets at just S$6 each.

iPhone OS 3.0
Apple has announced iPhone OS 3.0, arguably the OS the iPhone should have shipped with. Expected features include in-app purchases, peer-to-peer connectivity, custom apps talking directly to hardware, turn-by-turn navigation, push notifications, and finally cut, copy and paste.
2K XBox 360 Games
I received two Xbox 360 games today from 2K Games, part of Take-Two Interactive, the studio behind Grand Theft Auto, Civilization, BioShock and more. BioShock 2 is due around September 2009 and will grace the cover of a magazine.
IT Show 2009 Hoot
I left for the IT Show 2009 at Suntec City with my brother. I parked at Marina Square to dodge the carpark jam, reaching before 11am with time for a McDonald's breakfast, then headed in to hunt for deals.
Gifts From Japan
My family, my parents, brother and Huimin, were on a tour of Japan from 28th February to 11th March 2009. Now they're back, they brought Li Xiang and me some gifts! Pictures paint a thousand words, so here they are.
Apple Refreshes iPod Shuffle
Apple has refreshed the iPod Shuffle, now 4GB only at S$128. Instead of many colours there are just two, silver and black, and the design is now vertical rather than square. Despite lacking a screen, it adds a VoiceOver feature.
BlogOut! 2009
Phew, my nervous BlogOut! 2009 presentation is over, and the event was a huge success. Rescheduling moved my slot up to 11.45am. Once on stage, the nerves faded, with Elvin from Intel advising me to look at the audience.
Logitech 2.4 GHz Cordless Presenter
Bought my Logitech 2.4GHz Cordless Presenter at PK Computer in VivoCity for S$132. I've no idea why presenters cost so much, even unbranded ones run about S$80, but it's a good investment I can also use for school presentations.

Apple has refreshed the Mac Mini, iMac and Mac Pro. The Mac Mini now packs an Intel Core 2 Duo and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, starting at S$988 for the 2.0GHz, 120GB model, with a 320GB option also available.

Nokia today launched the XpressMusic 5800 and the Comes With Music service at Velvet Underground. Comes With Music is now live, with Singapore the first country in Asia to get it.
BlogOut! 2009
BlogOut 2009 runs on 6th and 7th March, 10.30am to 5.30pm, at 8Q, Singapore Art Museum, 8 Queen Street. There are two tracks: the Corporate Track on both days, at S$90, and the Open Track on the 7th.

Apple has announced Safari 4. Built on advanced browser technologies including the new Nitro JavaScript engine, it runs JavaScript up to 30 times faster than IE7 and over three times faster than Firefox 3.

Got the Deuter AirContact Pro 50 + 15 backpack for S$295 at Carrefour. My brother will use it first for his Japan trip, and I should get to use it at the end of the year if I travel anywhere.
SingTel Launches HTC Dream aka G1
SingTel today launches the HTC Dream, aka the G1, available at all SingTel and Hello shops tomorrow. Alongside it, SingTel announces three new Flexi plans aimed at the Dream, which runs a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor.
