HyperDrive 4K HDMI 3-in-1 USB-C Hub
The HyperDrive 4K HDMI 3-in-1 USB-C Hub retails for US$49.99 (S$69) and shipping to Singapore is an additional flat fee of US$15 (S$21).
This HDMI 3-in-1 USB-C Hub is a an alternative to the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter which retails for S$98.
Unlike Apple, the USB-C PD port is not on the same side as the HDMI and USB-A port. So regarding cable management, Apple’s Multiport Adapter is neater. But because of this design, this hub has a much smaller design footprint.
Specifications are identical. It has a USB-A port, HDMI port that supports up to 4K (3840×2160) displays at 30Hz, and a USB-C PD port.
Build quality of this hub is much better than Apple. The enclosure is made of precision-milled aluminum, and it has two colors (Space Grey and Silver) to match the design of your USB-C MacBook Pro.
Price wise, it is just slightly cheaper due to the flat shipping fee of US$15. If you are buying multiple units and splitting the fixed shipping cost with your friends, it is much cheaper.
I got it at 20% discount because of the coupon code, 9to5mac, from 9to5mac.com.
I bought it together with the HyperDrive 7-in-2 Hub for USB-C.
So if you factor in the 20% discount code and splitting the shipping cost for two products, I paid (US$49.99 * 0.8) + (US$15 * 0.5) = US$47.49 (S$66) for it.
