Keyboards, mice, and trackpads I type and click on, including gaming peripherals.
I bought the Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse from Amazon for US$59.99, the lowest price ever per CamelCamelCamel. It qualifies for free AmazonGlobal shipping above US$125, but lacking enough items, I shipped it to my freight forwarder instead.
The Apple Magic Keyboard retails for S$148, the successor to the Apple Wireless Keyboard at S$98. It's S$50 pricier because Apple finally ditched AA batteries for a built-in rechargeable one, charged via a Lightning cable, giving it a sleeker profile.
I bought the Apple Magic Mouse 2 for S$119 after my old Magic Mouse failed, its cursor frozen despite swapping batteries and Macs. The new model swaps AA batteries for a built-in rechargeable one.
The Just Mobile Alupad is a mouse pad crafted from anodised aluminium wrapped in smooth white plastic. The plastic wrap, which sets it apart from the MacPadd, makes the mouse glide more smoothly. I got mine in Bangkok.
The SteelSeries Rival launched last October and now retails for S$99 in Singapore, compatible with both PC and Mac. A right-handed mouse, it has injected rubber grips, a rubberised anti-sweat coating, and PTFE feet for a consistent, smooth glide.
As part of the 2014 Logitech Color Collection, the Wireless Mouse M235 arrives in four new colours, Green Envy, Bubble Bath, Blue Bliss, and Daring Dive. It keeps the same S$29 price and is already in stores.
The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad Air retails for S$139 on the Apple Online Store, in Black or White. Despite its smaller size, it keeps full-size keys for comfortable, easy typing, and includes a built-in stand.
The Logitech K310 Washable Keyboard retails for S$59, a reasonably priced wired keyboard. Most keyboards are filthy, a 2008 study found them carrying 150 times the recommended bacteria limit, five times worse than a toilet seat, harbouring dirt and hair.
The Logitech Rechargeable Trackpad (T651) is a Mac trackpad retailing for S$98, while its Windows counterpart, the T650, costs slightly more at S$109. It's an alternative to the Apple Magic Trackpad, which also sells for S$98, and supports multi-touch gestures.
The Logitech Bluetooth Easy-Switch Keyboard (K811) is a Mac keyboard retailing for S$169, with its Windows counterpart, the K810, at the same price. It's a fairly pricey alternative to the Apple Wireless Keyboard, which costs just S$98, but adds backlighting.
I bought the Razer Goliathus Control Edition Mouse Pad (Small) from CH Computers at Funan for S$16, where the same pad sells for S$23 at Challenger. I'd been using the free pad bundled with Command & Conquer 3 from 2007.
My Razer Lycosa has served me four years, but its rubber coating has worn away, leaving only the blue glow. It was time for a new keyboard, and the Logitech G19 arrived to pair with my G600 mouse.
I bought the Logitech MK260 Wireless Combo, keyboard and mouse, from Challenger for S$39, or S$36.90 with member's price. It's one of the cheapest branded wireless combos I could find there, the main alternative being the Wireless Desktop 800.
I'm not an MMO gamer, so the Logitech G600 is my first ever MMO gaming mouse. It's Logitech's answer to the Razer Naga, announced in June 2012 and retailing for S$99 since mid-July. It comes with a three-year warranty.
I ordered the Apple USB SuperDrive for S$98 alongside the Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. My only reason was that my brother and Li Xiang are getting a MacBook Air and MacBook Pro soon, so I'd grab a drive.
The Logitech Touch Mouse M600 was announced in February 2012, and I'd been keen to try it. It's now available in Singapore for S$89. Its headline feature is a responsive touch surface that reacts directly to your fingers.
Li Xiang gave me two presents this year, plus a short birthday trip to Malaysia. The Twelve South MagicWand, at S$45, was the first, and the BookArc, at S$65, the second. The MagicWand holds the Apple Wireless Keyboard.
Targus Blue Trace is its take on Microsoft's BlueTrack, letting a mouse work on virtually any surface, glass included. Targus offers two Blue Trace mice: the Wireless Blue Trace at S$29.90 and the Compact Blue Trace at S$18.90.
Bought the Magic Trackpad at iStudio in Changi Airport Terminal 3 before flying to Jakarta. Apple Singapore ran a Chinese New Year sale that day, but with no 7% airport tax the price was about the same, S$91.59.
I love my Dell 2408WFP monitor for its two DVI ports, letting me connect both my Windows desktop and MacBook Pro. Using a Mac heavily at work, I wanted to replicate that office setup at home.
Got the Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for office use from DG Lifestyle, a Hong Kong company, at VivoCity for S$78. A solid full-size board with the dedicated number pad I need at work.
Soon after my Razer Abyssus, I received another Razer mouse, the Imperator, announced 16 days later on 26th November 2009. It carries an RRP of S$139 and feels like a meaningful step up from the simpler Abyssus.
