Assignments Fever
Usual Friday lessons, plus handing in the FYP group form. The proposal's due 21 March, a week away. The stress is mounting, with so much due soon: FYP proposal, MMAD, MMAS and more crowding the fortnight.

Usual Friday lessons, plus handing in the FYP group form. The proposal's due 21 March, a week away. The stress is mounting, with so much due soon: FYP proposal, MMAD, MMAS and more crowding the fortnight.
TBCM didn't show, wasting my time; I could've slept in, it being the first lesson. With two slots, that's two free hours. It's Elaine's 19th, so I grabbed a coffee cake from Bengawan Solo at Clementi.
Two practical tests today, IGRA and MMPJ. IGRA came first, so easy the lecturer was giving marks away, I finished in an hour of a two-hour test. MMPJ was average, considering I barely studied; scored 12/20.
Breakfast at school before my PCT online quiz, meant to last 90 minutes for 50 questions, but I finished in 20 and scored 83/100, second highest. A classmate topped with 86. Then my VBAS practical test.
Breakfast at school before my MMAS practical test, which I'd thought ran two and a half hours, not two. It was tough; I spent 30 minutes on a Lingo script, getting it working minutes before time.
I've wanted to rant about this for ages: taxi drivers are worst on the road, as today's incidents confirmed. They act as if every road belongs to them, stopping anywhere, anytime, to pick or drop passengers.
Woke at 12.30pm, my latest since school reopened. Lunch at Swensen's in West Mall, trying something new: Black Pepper Seafood Pasta with Cookies & Cream milkshake, both good. To Bukit Batok Driving Centre for BTT evaluation.
Last night my friend Shaun called from his bunk to plan our joint birthday celebration with our secondary school mates; his birthday's a day after mine. He says army life's good: pretty slack, with counselling on.
Stayed in except for dinner; Mom brought lunch back. Spent the afternoon studying MMAS and playing some Warcraft III before napping till evening. To Queensway Shopping Centre for my brother's spectacles, dinner at Alexandra Food Centre.
Lian came at 11am, lunch at Great World City foodcourt; she had laksa while I had fried beef with spring onion, ginger and rice, less oily than last time. Home by 2pm for Unreal Tournament 2003.
Lor mee in the morning before a few Warcraft III games with Lian, though my cable kept disconnecting every 30 minutes, worse since StarHub took over. My BTT evaluation: took it three times and failed all.
Forgot the IGRA revision lecture until a classmate mentioned it on IRC, so I turned up at 11am. The lecturer claimed attendees might earn extra marks, not sure how true, but fewer than a quarter showed.
Woke at 9am to the doorbell: the postman delivering Lian's Koichi Domoto 2003-2004 calendar. I like online shopping: straight to your doorstep, and fast too. Released on 28 February, and I had it by 3 March.
Woke at 11.30am, then to Suntec for lunch and to buy chicken wings for Thursday's class BBQ: 48 wings and 42 chicken breasts. We went to Suntec by mistake, since my brother wanted to make spectacles.
Minced pork noodles at Bestway building, months since I ate there. After we sent my uncle to the airport, she dropped me at Eunos MRT. Took bus 51 to Lian's stop, Mos Burger at Marina Square.
Lian's MMAD Task 2 presentation smooth as silk. I submitted MMAD Tasks 3, 4 and 5 despite bits missing, too lazy to redo for few marks. Lunch at SP's renovated foodcourt 3, the nasi padang decent.
My self-coded poll module is live after weeks of planning and coding. The first topic is 'What Type Of Food Do You Like?'; cast your vote. If you spot bugs, please email me with a screenshot.
Had my TBCM presentation before lunch, scoring 60.5/80, fumbled one slide, rambling without knowing what I said. After lunch, the 90-minute VBAS mock test: coded it in 30 minutes but spent an hour on coin-change logic.
Today marks six months together for Lian and me, and I'll be 19 in 26 days. Left school around 1.30pm for Pasta Mania at Scotts foodcourt. The Ham and Mushroom Pizza beats Pizza Hut's, though not Marche's.
School ended at 12pm. A last-minute recruit brought our FYP group to seven. Wandered Plaza Singapura and had Mos Burger for lunch-cum-dinner; the rice burger tasted off, with limp vegetables and soggy rice. Not their best.
Finalised my FYP group: six members, doing Web Programming and Publishing. There's been miscommunication these past days between me, Charlene, Stacey and Jean, still unresolved. All I can do is try to help smooth things over.
Mom woke me at 12.30pm for lunch at Nudle Bar in Heeren, to celebrate grandmother's lottery win. Had Stir-Fried Salmon with Szechuan, not bad, though I prefer Black Pepper Beef Ramen. Bought a Tokyo Life Fourskin tee.
