Uncharted Waters Online Officially Launched
Hoist the sails: Uncharted Waters Online, the historical massively multiplayer online role-playing game, officially launched today in Singapore. It's distributed by Netmarble, the game portal from CJ Internet, a global entertainment company.

mig33 Android Client
I've spent the past few months building the mig33 Android client with colleagues, tasked with styling the native UI in Java and XML plus the HTML5/CSS3 webpages. It's tedious, but the first beta is finally ready for download!

Google has officially announced the Nexus S and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Co-developed by Google and Samsung, the Nexus S pairs the latest Android with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of memory, making it one of the fastest phones around.
Nokia E72 (White Edition)
The earliest Christmas party goes to Nokia! At their media party at Serenity, VivoCity, I won a Nokia E72 White Edition in the lucky draw, since most journalists left early, leaving about fifteen of us competing for ten prizes.
Moonchild: Animated Short Film
Moonchild, an animated short film by Singapore's Stick and Balloon, needs donations to finish its final production leg. A shy fiddler named Niki meets a lovely moon-spirit and her strange musical band, and nervously tries to impress her.

The Sanyo Eneloop Stick Booster KBC-D1BS was announced in Japan in August 2010 but never came to Singapore. My mom's business friend brought one back for 2,980 yen, about S$46.30. I love its design, and it outputs 5.0V.
Huawei MiFi E585
Bought the Huawei MiFi E585 for S$185 from Amos on HardwareZone forums. This mobile router uses your SIM card to get online and shares the connection with up to five devices, unlike 3G USB modems that serve only one.
A.C. Ryan Playon! HD
My second hoot from SITEX 2010 is the A.C. Ryan Playon! HD at S$349, bundled with a 2TB drive and a free Wireless N dongle. I chose it because it plays nearly every format, including RM and RMVB.
East meets West: Fundraising Football Match!
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities falls on 3 December 2010, with the UN urging everyone to keep their promise of inclusion. To mark it locally, the Disabled People's Association holds a fundraising football match.

Not tech-related, but H&M is finally opening in Singapore! So far I've only visited Hong Kong's H&M, where I picked up some shorts. Hennes & Mauritz takes its first step with a store at a prime Orchard Road location.

The Sanyo Eneloop Mobile Booster KBC-L2B upgrades the earlier KBC-L2A, though the model number, merely bumping A to B, is confusing. Sanyo really should pick clearer names so buyers can tell new from old. Design-wise the two are basically identical.
Happy 26th Birthday Li Xiang!
Celebrated Li Xiang's birthday with a Friday stay at Marina Bay Sands. We booked early, choosing the Rise & Shine package with one night and breakfast for two, paying S$389 before tax. Pricey, but totally worth it!
SingTel Nokia N8 Launch With David Archuleta
SingTel is the first and, for now, only operator to bring in the Nokia N8, available from 5th November 2010. To celebrate, with Sony Music they flew in David Archuleta, runner-up of the seventh season of American Idol.

I was invited to HP Singapore's 40th Anniversary at Dempsey's The House. I forgot my camera, but Joe's blog has photos. The food was fantastic and Muttons hosted hilariously. To celebrate, there's 40 Days of Christmas with HP.
Nokia N8
I was seeded the Nokia N8 through the Nokia Rangers program. The build and hardware are fantastic and the camera amazing, but Symbian^3 kills it. The OS can't exploit the hardware, like running Windows 98 on a Core i7.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in Singapore exclusively to SingTel customers from 13th November 2010, with pre-orders from 30th October to 12th November. Pricing comes on 14th November, offered with SingTel's existing 3G Flexi plans.
