I backed Tool Pen on Kickstarter on the 9th July 2014 and it was funded successfully on 14th August 2014 after raising US$274,794 out of their initial goal of just US$7,000. That is 40 times the goal.
I am guessing many of you have not heard of the brand GRAMAS before. GRAMAS is a luxury accessories maker from Japan. They specialise in leather cases for iPhones and glass screen protectors. In case you are wondering, GRAMAS stands for Generous RAw MAterial Stuff.

Global Web Index is a market research company specialising in online consumer behaviour. They recently did a mobile messaging survey and the study revealed that WeChat now has the youngest demographic out of all competing social communications apps, with a third of its global active user base being 16 â 24 years old. WeChat has also experienced significant growth with an active user base increase of 156% globally, and a staggering 499% in Singapore between Q1 2013 to Q3 2014.
Thanks to China market, globally, WeChat has a 23% share of the Internet population using the service, 3% more than Facebook Messenger while in APAC, WeChat command a 38% share while Facebook Messenger share is half of it at 16%.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note was launched in Singapore on the 8th July 2014 and later at 12pm today, Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi Note 4G in Singapore. Similar to the previous launch, 5,000 sets of Redmi Note 4G will be made available.
The Redmi Note 4G will retail for S$229 while the Redmi Note will still be retailing for S$199.
