Bosch GLM 35 Laser Measure
I first played with a laser measuring device in Tech in Asia‘s office where the events team use it to measure event spaces to plan for banners placement. I was amazed at how fast it is to obtain a measurement for a room. After that I never look at measuring tape the same way again.
Not saying that the measuring tape is not useful, I still think it is useful to measure smaller objects. Whereas to measure spaces between walls and pillars, the laser measuring device really excels.
So I decided to get one for my new house and I bought the Bosch GLM 35 Laser Measure from Amazon for US$79 (S$113). It doesn’t ship to Singapore directly, so I took the usual HopShopGo route with a few other items.
There are a lot of models for Bosch’s laser measuring device. This is the GLM 35 which will allow you to measure up to 120 feet (36.58m). And yes, the GLM35 will measure in feet, inches or metric.
The standard features includes measuring area, distance, length and volume. It supports continuous measurement and allow you to do addition and subtraction to the measurements. It’s measuring accuracy is ±1.5mm.
The display has backlight for increased visibility under low-light conditions.
It is made in Malaysia and requires 2x AAA batteries to operate. It measures 46 x 132 x 203 (mm) and weighs 100g.
I am not sure if this model is being sold in Singapore, if I come across it, I will update this post again.
