Ugreen Uno 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger
Ugreen Uno 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger is one of the latest product in their Uno lineup. It retails for S$60.90 on both Lazada and Shopee. I got this as a review unit from Ugreen.
The two circular plastic pieces on the left and right side of the charger have no function; it is purely aesthetic to simulate ears.
Ugreen Uno 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger is a certified Qi2 wireless charger; hence, it will give you up to 15W wireless charging speed to your iPhone.
This charger has two wireless charging areas; the main one at the top gives you up to 15W, while another beneath it will give you up to 5W. The 5W is meant to charge your AirPods because there are protruding edges around the area, which only fit the shape of an AirPods.
There is only one USB-C output, which Ugreen recommends using to charge your Apple Watch via a separate charger. The maximum output for that port is only 5W, which is disappointing.
If Ugreen designed it in such a way that it is meant for Apple Watch charging, they should have included an Apple Watch charger, and they could use this to rival the Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station.
The total output of the charger is 25W, 15W for the primary charging, 5W for AirPods charging, and 5W for the USB-C output.
So, it is recommended to use a 30W charger, which is not included in the box. The USB-C’s inlet port is at the back.
A little about the Ugreen Uno series: it offers fast and fun accessories to give users a more enjoyable experience when charging their accessories.
Using this charger as an example, it has a display that displays only two status emojis: powered on/standby and charging/fully charged. It adds a fun element and moves away from the traditional boring static design. But it adds zero benefit to the whole charging process.
Also, if you charge your iPhone in portrait mode, the phone will block the display view. Hence, it is recommended that you charge in landscape mode.
Overall, S$60.90 for this charger seems a little expensive, given it has a handicap USB-C port that only outputs 5W. Nevertheless, the build quality is what you expect of Ugreen: solid and heavy, and it feels premium. A reasonable price for it will be anything below S$50; if you find a deal like this, you can consider getting it.
