Niimbot D110 Portable Label Printer
Just two years after buying the DYMO LabelManager 160, it spoiled.
The error message is “Label jam!” and none of the solutions listed in the official article, How to solve the ‘Tape Jam’ and ‘Motor Stall’ errors on my LabelManager?, works.
I tried changing to fresh new six AAA batteries, which worked for me last year when I encountered the same issue. But this time round, it doesn’t work.
I am not going to get any more DYMO label printers going forward.
Somehow, I heard of Niimbots before. So I decided to try it since it cost less than S$30.
I was deciding between the Niimbot D110 and Niimbot D11 as both cost almost the same.
I ended up getting the Niimbot D110 on Shopee because of its charging via USB-C, smaller size, and rectangle shape. Apart from that, both features are similar.

The cheapest price I saw on Shopee was S$22.99 during a flash sale. Sadly I missed it, and I bought it for S$25.68.

The packaging contents are simple. Besides the usual booklets, it has a USB-A to USB-C cable and a 12 x 40 mm label.

Unlike DYMO LabelManager 160, which has many buttons as it doesn’t use an app, the Niimbot D110 only has one power button on itself as it offloads all the work to the app.

The charging port is at the bottom, though I wish it were on the side so that it can be charged standing upright.

The included 12 x 40 mm label is inside the Niimbot D110 itself.

You connect to the Niimbot D110 via Bluetooth. Using the Niimbot app which is available on both App Store or Google Play, you can design and print the label.

The Niimbot app is straightforward and easy to use.

The only cons to the Niimbot D110 are that the labels are all fixed sizes. Whereas for DYMO LabelManager, it is a tape, so the size varies as you can cut it off.

As of the time of writing, there are seven label sizes for the Niimbot D110:
- 10 x 25 mm
- 12 x 22 mm
- 12 x 30 mm
- 12 x 40 mm
- 14 x 40 mm
- 15 x 40 mm
- 15 x 50 mm
