The ASUS RT-AC88U was launched in Singapore at SITEX 2015. SITEX is a consumer lifestyle IT event in Singapore and is usually the last major IT event for the year. It is always held at Singapore Expo and this year, the event took place from Thursday, 26th November 2015 till Sunday, 29th November 2015.
The retail price of the ASUS RT-AC88U Router is S$429.
I first played with a laser measuring device in Tech in Asia‘s office where the events team use it to measure event spaces to plan for banners placement. I was amazed at how fast it is to obtain a measurement for a room. After that I never look at measuring tape the same way again.
Not saying that the measuring tape is not useful, I still think it is useful to measure smaller objects. Whereas to measure spaces between walls and pillars, the laser measuring device really excels.
The new SONOS PLAY:5 delivers a listening experience that is closer than ever to how every track was mastered in the studio. Built with six synchronized, custom-designed drivers, the speaker’s three mid-woofers create smooth mids and deep, powerful lows that go as low as 27Hz, and three tweeters deliver crystal clear highs at any volume. The drivers are strategically placed to create a soundstage that is much wider than expected in a single speaker, creating room-filling sound with precise separation of vocals and instruments.
This is probably the only trustable USB Type-C Charger that I can find which has more than one USB Type-C port and is reasonably priced. Besides the charger, it also comes with a 1.8m USB Type-C to Type-C cable (USB 2.0 speed) which itself already cost US$19.99 (S$29).
The Google USB Type-C to USB Standard-A Plug Cable has been out of stock for quite some time. I managed to buy it when it just got back in stock on 9th November 2015. Because it doesn’t ship to Singapore directly, I have to ship it through a freight forwarder like HopShopGo.
The retail price is US$12.99 (S$19) excluding shipping fees from HopShopGo and comes in only one length which is 1m. It is a USB 2.0 cable and hence the data transfer speed will be capped at 480Mb/s.
StarCraft 2 – Legacy of the Void was officially launched on 10th November 2015. I have collected both Heart Of The Swarm and Wings Of Liberty Collector’s Edition and of course I can’t miss out on this last one.
