Arlo Go 2 was officially released in Singapore back in February 2023 and retails for S$399. As the name suggests, it is the successor to Arlo Go.
Here is a table showing the differences between both cameras. The main differences would be the resolution upgrade to 1080p and additional wi-fi connectivity on top of 4G LTE. The price was cut by almost half, from S$799 to S$399.
There are four main lines of security cameras from Arlo. Arlo Ulta, Arlo Pro, Arlo Essential, and Arlo Go. Arlo Ulta supports 4K HDR video recording, while Arlo Pro supports 2K HDR video recording. Arlo Essential supports 1080p video recording, while Arlo Go supports 720p recording as it is meant to be used with a 4G plan.
Arlo launched their Arlo Essential Indoor Camera last month and it is currently retailing for S$199. Essentially (pun intended), this camera is the indoor version of the Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera that I reviewed last October.
The major difference is Essential Indoor is wired, and Essential Spotlight is wireless. Essential Indoor doesn’t have a spotlight, and its night vision is black and white only.
