I caught Vantage Point at GV VivoCity on Thursday, 20th March 2008. I found it nice despite the repetition others disliked. I love how it conveys its message by replaying the same event from different perspectives.

McDonald’s Strange Menu Around the World
Trifter wrote an article on McDonald's menus around the world, so some of you may have read it. After reading, I find Singapore's McDonald's menu rather lousy by comparison. Does anyone know about the McNuggets curry sauce?

We caught the 7.30pm Disney On Ice show, its last slot of the day, at Singapore Indoor Stadium last Saturday, 8th March 2008. Beforehand we had dinner with Wayne at Bao Luo Wan Xiang in Plaza Singapura's basement two.

San Alfonso del Mar is a resort on Chile's central coast, famous for its 1,000-metre, 19-acre outdoor pool, which holds a Guinness world record. The pool uses technology from Chilean company Crystal Lagoons, pumping in filtered seawater.

I was woken by a call at 4.34am. A guy asked if I was Lester and if I was from Chatline. I confirmed I'm Lester but not from Chatline. He asked again, I said no, and he hung up.

After weeks of never-ending tutorials, assignments and projects, Li Xiang and I took a break to reward ourselves with good food. We tried Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar in the basement of Raffles City, a $3-million Japanese-style marche restaurant.
IT Show 2008 Hoot
It seems everyone was buying at IT Show 2008 except my brother and me. My mom got a WD Passport 250GB and Canon PIXMA MX700, others grabbed Canon IXUS cameras, and Wayne bought an Asus F8Sn laptop.
TNT Service Is Lousy
I'm so annoyed with TNT's service. They said they'd collect my Nokia N81 8GB between 3pm and 5pm, and now it's 5.45pm and they're still not here. I called the driver, who asked me to wait another 20 minutes. Ridiculous!

Some new features in IE8 Beta 1. Activities are contextual services offering quick access to external services from any webpage. WebSlices let sites expose portions of a page that users can subscribe to.
Configuring Nokia Phones WLAN For NUS Wireless
First, your Nokia phone must be 802.11-enabled, whether an Nseries or Eseries. I'm using S60 3rd Edition, Symbian OS 9.2, as an example, though it should work on other S60 editions. We'll use the NUS WLAN SSID rather than NUSOPEN.
Nokia And Microsoft Silverlight
Nokia is bringing Microsoft Silverlight to S60 on Symbian OS later this year. Now we just need Adobe Flash Lite 3 delivered to our phones; impatient developers can already grab the Flash Lite 3 Developer Edition in the meantime.
IT Show 2008
IT Show 2008 runs this Thursday to Sunday, 6th to 9th March 2008, at Suntec City Exhibition Centre on levels 1, 3, 4 and 6. I'm planning to pick up a Canon Digital IXUS 860 IS for my uncle.
N-Gage First Impression
Nokia announced the N-Gage platform last August at its Go Play event, held in London and Singapore. Some may recognise N-Gage from the older gaming phones, the N-Gage Classic and QD, but this is a new software platform.
Farewell Nic & Blair
I went to Nic and Blair's farewell party at Screening Room Rooftop Bar on Ann Siang Road yesterday. The view is magnificent and I'll definitely return with Li Xiang, though the prices, especially the food, are a little steep.
