Samsung RT58EAMT Refrigerator
My mom just bought a new Samsung RT58EAMT refrigerator for the house, costing about S$915. Its 580-litre gross capacity dwarfs our previous Sanyo SR-37ZB. Still, no single fridge is ever big enough for all of my mom's baking supplies.

Nokia Connection 2008
I was invited to Nokia Connection 2008, the annual event, this year on 16th and 17th June. The first day was at the Singapore Recreation Club, the second at Mandarin Oriental, with plenty of new Nokia announcements.
Razer Lycosa
While doing our mystery shopper job at Lot 1, Li Xiang and I came across a PC shop and a game shop. I grabbed an old Xbox game, Capcom Fighting Evolution, assuming it'd be backward-compatible with my Xbox 360.
Samsung 2043BWX + Nokia @ Molly Malone
My dad's 10am Singapore Airlines flight to Vietnam departs today; he'll be there six months, returning around 17th December 2008, though he may pop back briefly after three. We reached the airport at 8am to see him off.
iPhone 3G
It looks exactly like the old iPhone, but it's much cheaper: US$199 for 8GB and US$299 for 16GB, around S$272 and S$408 respectively, though both require a two-year contract. The key difference is the addition of 3G.
Busy Weekends
Li Xiang bought a S$98 ticket to the Zhang Dong Liang, Nicholas Teo, concert, with a 10% SISTIC discount. Otherwise I think SISTIC ticketing is a rip-off; they've raised their surcharge from S$2 to S$3, on top of handling charges.

I've brought lesterchan.net's launch forward a few days, since I may be busy on the original date of 9th June 2008. After more than four years on the same layout, version 2.0 is finally replaced by version 3.0.
Samsung VP-MX10 Review
Samsung kindly sent me a VP-MX10 to review, along with a 4GiB SanDisk SDHC card. As my very first camcorder, this review can't be too in-depth, since I can only compare it against the video feature of my digital camera.
Site Traffic May 2008
My May 2008 site traffic stats: 5,293,620 hits, 483,805 pages and 176,349 visits from 103,405 unique sites, with about 12.1 million KBytes transferred over the month. A quieter month than usual, though visitor numbers held up reasonably well.
Lester Chan’s WordPress Plugins June 2008 Update (Wave 2)
Here's the second wave of my June 2008 plugin update, covering the remaining four plugins. They work only on WordPress 2.5 and aren't tested below that. The most notable change is that the plugin path is now fixed.

Samsung VP-MX10
I got hold of the Samsung VP-MX10 last month but had no time to review it amid assignments and exam prep. In brief, it's a PAL camcorder recording to memory, with a CCD image sensor of around 800K pixels.

Accident: Car Skidded
It hadn't rained for days, then yesterday it poured heavily for a short while. After dropping Li Xiang home, I drove my usual route from the PIE, exiting at Clementi Ave 6 onto the AYE, when my car skidded.
My New Computer Q9450
After five long years, the day finally came to buy a new computer. As always I went to Fuwell; across family and work, we've bought at least five computers from them. On to my new Q9450's specs.
Ironman
I caught Iron Man last weekend at Orchard Cineleisure and thought it superb, one of the best Marvel superhero films around. Guys will love the high-tech gear Tony Stark uses to build his armour. Bring on that technology!
Marvel Upcoming Films
Marvel has announced four upcoming films: Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, with Spider-Man 4 possibly in the works too. They join this year's releases, The Incredible Hulk and Punisher: War Zone, plus X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
