I was seeded the Nokia N8 through the Nokia Rangers program. The build and hardware are fantastic and the camera amazing, but Symbian^3 kills it. The OS can't exploit the hardware, like running Windows 98 on a Core i7.

SingTel Brings In Samsung Galaxy Tab
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in Singapore exclusively to SingTel customers from 13th November 2010, with pre-orders from 30th October to 12th November. Pricing comes on 14th November, offered with SingTel's existing 3G Flexi plans.
Microsoft Office 2011 For Mac Now Available
Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac is now available on most retail shelves. The Home and Student edition bundles Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Messenger for Mac, priced at S$188 for one licence or S$228 for the three-licence Family Pack.
Apple MacBook Air 11 Inch (Late 2010)
My boss brought an 11.6-inch MacBook Air with 64GB SSD from the US for a business partner. Apple Singapore charges S$1,488 versus US$999 there. Since it isn't mine I didn't power it on, just compared its size.
6th Anniversary
It's our sixth anniversary! We celebrated with a night at The Scarlet Hotel, grabbing Koi bubble tea on the way since the bus stops right outside. After checking in we watched Toy Story 3, even better than the first two.
The Event
I was invited to Universal Channel's screening of The Event. I'd seen it mentioned on HardwareZone forums but had totally forgotten about it. It's an American political thriller and science-fiction series created by Nick Wauters for NBC, stylised THE EVENT.
Fabrix Booklet For iPad
Fabrix Cases sent me a complimentary Fabrix Booklet for iPad worth US$59.90, probably because I've bought several cases from them for my MacBook Pro, netbook, iPhone 3GS and iPad. I think I'll use this one from now on.

Citibank has given its CitiMobile iPhone app a version 2 makeover. New features include improved search in Gourmet Pleasures and Citi World Privileges, plus shopping deals, rebates and e-coupon treats you can redeem instantly from your phone.
The Social Network
The Social Network is a movie about how Mark Zuckerberg started Facebook in his Harvard dorm. I doubt some parts, like Mark owning 51% when he holds 24%, but others ring true, such as Napster co-founder Sean Parker's involvement.

Integrated Flickr Gallery
I've integrated the Flickr API with this site using Dan Coulter's phpFlickr, adding a new Flickr Gallery page that lists every photo on my Flickr account. I no longer upload to the site's own gallery, having moved entirely to Flickr.
TuneWear IceWear iPod Nano 6G
Got the TuneWear IceWear for my iPod nano 6G from DG Lifestyle Store at VivoCity for S$28, and it's totally not worth it. The two screen protectors scratch far too easily, and the silicon cover fits poorly, far too big.

Ordered my sixth-generation iPod nano on 30th September 2010 and received it today. DHL actually tried delivering yesterday while I was out, since I always assumed they only worked weekdays. I picked Graphite to match my black Crumpler bag.

Android Market Coming To Singapore
Android Market is finally coming to Singapore, alongside 19 other countries. Developers in 29 countries can now sell apps, up from nine, and users in 32 countries can buy paid ones, up from 14, as Android's userbase keeps expanding.

My brother got me the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi from Amazon, shipped via Borderlinx since Amazon won't send it directly here. It cost US$64.99 after discount, far below the US$169.99 list and the S$299 local price. He bought three.
