I've been hooked on Apple's Push Notification Service ever since I bought Prowl; the possibilities are endless. The service, released with iPhone OS 3.0 on 17th June 2009, uses push technology to deliver alerts to your device. Truly a godsend.

After a leaked press shot and a review by Eldar of Mobile Review, the Nokia N900 has been officially announced, reaching selected markets from October 2009. Running Maemo 5, it promises computer-grade performance in a handset.

Nokia has jumped on the netbook bandwagon, though I've no idea why it calls the Booklet 3G a mini-laptop; for me, any Atom-powered laptop is a netbook. The specs look delicious: a 10-inch screen, 3G, A-GPS and just 1.25kg.

Dell Vostro 220 Mini Tower Desktop
My mom ordered four Dell Vostro 220 Mini Tower desktops last week. Three arrived on Tuesday and one on Wednesday, when I went over to help set them up. I managed to get the three Tuesday units running first.

I've finally received the retail LG GM730. There was earlier commotion among bloggers whose units had old-looking batteries with under twelve hours' standby, and scratches on the phones. Hopefully this retail set fares better.

I finally clicked the File For Graduation link, as I'll graduate this semester with my last paper on 3rd December 2009. My course runs four years, but as a Singapore Polytechnic graduate I earned 33 module credits of exemptions.

End Of My Internship
My internship with Sedgwick Richardson ended last Friday. This is my one-week break before school resumes on 11th August. It'll be my final semester, and I can finally click File for Graduation tomorrow once my bid modules are allocated.

Gear Zap sent me the Cool Bananas and LArobe netbook cases to review, starting with the Cool Bananas Envelope. I use an Asus EEE 1000HE, and the envelope fits any netbook with an 8.9 to 10.2-inch screen nicely.

My July 2009 site traffic stats: 13,017,194 hits, 892,110 pages and 245,909 visits from 175,508 unique sites. Daily hits averaged 419,909, peaking around 520,000, with roughly 50.1 million KBytes transferred. A noticeably bigger month than the ones before.
