Installed OS X Mountain Lion on my MacBook Air (Mid 2011) last night, downloaded at 7MB/s (love my fiber Internet), installation took about 30 minutes.

OS X Lion
Mac OS X Lion is finally released, it cost US$29.99 in the Mac App Store. I was downloading this at 11MB/s (megabytes not megabits) yesterday night! If you have a slower Internet connection, Lion will be made available on a USB thumb drive through the Apple Store (Singapore) for S$88. Mac OS X Lion is the eighth major release of Mac OS. It has more than 250 new features such as new Multi-Touch gestures, system-wide support for full screen apps, Mission Control, Mac App Store, Launchpad and a new re-designed Mail app.

It seems that Xcode 4.1 (App Store link) is free (usual US$4.99) for OS X Lion only and FaceTime is included in OS X Lion (App Store Link) (usual US$0.99).

Apple Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard is now available. You can get it at the Apple Singapore Store for S$48. Pre-ordered mine on the 26th August 2009 and received it yesterday, 28th August 2009, at about 10am, couriered by DHL.

One advantage living close to DHL’s Keppel’s Distribution Center is that my house will always be the first stop which means I always get it at 10am. Tested and proven by me many times. I even asked the courier guy from DHL and he says that my house will always be the first stop when they plan the route.
