Yunteng Monopod Selfie Stick

Despite selfie being so popular last year, I don’t own a selfie stick myself. And hence when I was in Hong Kong last December, I am determined to get a good one.

I chanced upon the Yunteng Monopod Selfie Stick in SIMCITY (47-51 Shantung Street, Mongkok, Kowloon) and it was the best quality selfie stick that I can find within a budget of S$20. In fact, it cost only HK$98 (S$17).

Surprisingly, Amazon carries it as well and it is named Yunteng 4-Section Retractable Handheld Monopod Selfie Stick for GoPro Hero and it cost US$15.99 (S$22).

Yunteng Monopod Selfie Stick weighs 210g and it can support up to 2.5KG of weight. Its height is 43cm and it can be extended to 123cm via its 4-section retractable body. Its grip is made of a sponge and it comes with a phone holder.

I am not a fan of those monopods that is commonly available as shown in the image below because the quality doesn’t look that good and the prices vary so much between shops. I saw the cheapest was like S$5 and the most expensive was like S$19.90. The only good thing about it is that it is compact.
