In case you are not familiar with the brand Krusell, Krusell is a manufacturer of smartphone and tablet accessories. They are a Swedish company and have been around since 1991. I remember seeing Krusell cases being sold at Singtel shops when my Dad got his first mobile phone back in the 90s.

When the smartphone era came, I didn’t see much of Krusell cases around. But I guess now they are back.

The Krusell Malmö Wallet+Cover 2-in-1 for iPhone 6 Plus will be available in Singapore next month and it will be retailing for S$45.

Krusell will also be making the Malmö Wallet+Cover 2-in-1 for Samsung Galaxy S6 and it will be available sometime next month as well.

I chose the Krusell Malmö Wallet+Cover 2-in-1 for iPhone 6 Plus to feature because there are not many 2-in-1 cases in the market. I like 2-in-1 cases because it allows me the flexibility of choosing whether I want to use the wallet or cover as my mobile phone case depending on how I commute.

I normally put my EZ-Link card and one credit card into a separate card holder on weekdays because I commute using public transport to work and hence the “wallet mode” of the Krusell Malmö Wallet+Cover works for me.

But when it comes to weekends, I normally drive, so I do not need my EZ-Link card and hence the “case mode” of the Krusell Malmö Wallet+Cover works for me.

When I travel overseas, I like to minimize the number of items that I bring out or have in my pockets. That is the reason why I like the “wallet mode” because I have one less thing to worry about (wallet and mobile phone vs just mobile phone).

The Krusell Malmö Wallet+Cover uses strong magnets to secure the removable magnetic case. When I say the magnet is strong, it is really strong.

The wallet itself allows for three cards and on the front of the wallet there is a cutout on the receiver so that you can talk on your phone when the lid is close.

Despite retailing for S$45 (which is a pretty good price for cases), the feel and materials used for the Malmö Wallet+Cover felt really premium and well-made (workmanship is good). Easily on-par or even better than cases that costs twice as much.
