Ugreen Smart Tag
If you are looking for a cheaper “AirTag” that works with Apple Find My network, the Ugreen Smart Tag is a good alternative.
You can get it around S$14 on Shopee or Lazada. Four colors are available: Black, Pink, Blue, and Mocha.

Of course, being this cheap means it lacks certain features. In this case, it lacks the Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) and Near-Field Communication (NFC).

Ugreen Smart Tag only has Bluetooth 5 with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). So you cannot use your iPhone to find precisely where your tag is, as UWB is lacking.

It comes with six stickers to indicate whether the Smart Tag is for keys, backpack, luggage, bicycle, car, or favourite.

Battery-wise, it uses the same battery as AirTag, the CR2032. Because it lacks UWB and NFC, the battery can last about 2 years, versus the AirTag of about 6 months.

One troublesome part of the Ugreen Smart Tag is that you will need an ejector tool to open up the back case to change the battery.

In terms of size, it is not much bigger than AirTag. Ugreen Smart Tag measures 36 x 36 x 7.4 mm, while AirTag is 32 (diameter) x 8 (height) mm. Both are about the same weight, about 11g.

Because it lacks NFC, you must manually add it using the Find My iOS App.

I bought this just to try it out. Personally, I still prefer the Apple AirTag because of the UWB.
