Krusell
In case you are not familiar with the brand Krusell, Krusell is a manufacturer of smartphone and tablet accessories. They are a Swedish company and have been around since 1991. I remember seeing Krusell cases being sold at Singtel shops when my Dad got his first mobile phone back in the 90s.
When the smartphone era came, I didn’t see much of Krusell cases around. But I guess now they are back.
Yesterday was my first birthday after 30 years old and that makes me 31 years old!
Last year, Li Xiang and I went to Sydney, Australia to celebrate my birthday. This year we stayed in Singapore to save some money as we are going travelling later on in June.
After it was launched nearly two years ago, Chromecast is now officially available in Singapore (since 19th March 2015).
What is Chromecast you may ask? Well, Chromecast is a thumb-sized media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. Simply use an Android phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop, or Chromebook to cast your favorite entertainment and apps right to your television.
Previously, lesterchan.net averages about 1,900ms in response time according to Pingdom Public Status Page. When I switched over to HTTPS, the response time increased to 2,600ms. I was still on Apache 2.4.7 running PHP 5.5.9 via mod_php.
When I made the switch to nginx 1.6.2 running PHP 5.5.22 via php-fpm, the response time decreases back to 1,900ms.
To create an official WeChat account, just go to apply.wechat.com and fill up the online form. You need to have a copy of your proposal document, official company certificate, company profile and business card of contact person.
The process is free and has no associated registration costs. WeChat has not authorised any agency as the official Official Account (OA) registration partner so all applications has to go through the above mentioned website.
Xiaomi’s Redmi 2 will be available for the first time in Singapore tomorrow, 17th March 2015 at 12pm for S$169. The price remains the same as the Redmi 1 when it first came to Singapore last February.
Only the white Redmi 2 will be sold in Singapore for now.

Received my Singtel Prestige Card for the year 2015. The design of the card has been changed. I did blog about the design for 2011 and 2014.
To qualify for Singtel Prestige, you need to be an existing Singtel Mobile, Home Broadband or mio TV service user for at least a year, and have a minimum spending of at least S$250 per month on your Singtel bill for the last 6 consecutive months and you will be automatically enrolled into the Singtel Prestige programme.
