My mom ordered four Dell Vostro 220 Mini Tower desktops last week. Three arrived on Tuesday and one on Wednesday, when I went over to help set them up. I managed to get the three Tuesday units running first.

Before I start this tutorial, full credit to crimsontwo from xSellize and joshua.menke; I've merely improved on crimsontwo's work. In his thread on running the Prowl Python script on your iPhone, he explains how to get Gmail push working.
I received the Birthday Party Bash Wii game by 2K Play three weeks ago and played it on our Games Day, 1st August 2009, celebrating the end of our internship. As the name suggests, it's perfectly suited to birthday parties.
City of Dreams is HP's Digital Festival, running 7th to 13th August 2009 at Ion Orchard Basement 4. I attended yesterday with Li Xiang, thanks to Amelia from Waggener Edstrom. It was short and sweet.
I've finally received the retail LG GM730. There was earlier commotion among bloggers whose units had old-looking batteries with under twelve hours' standby, and scratches on the phones. Hopefully this retail set fares better.
These are the modules I'm taking this coming semester, starting 11th August 2009: Legal Aspects of IT, IT and Customer Relationship Management, Java to C++, Place, Environment and Society, and The Evolution of a Global City-State.
I finally clicked the File For Graduation link, as I'll graduate this semester with my last paper on 3rd December 2009. My course runs four years, but as a Singapore Polytechnic graduate I earned 33 module credits of exemptions.
The be.ez LArobe netbook case comes in five colours for 10.2-inch models, measuring 26.6 by 19.2 by 3cm and weighing 172 grams, about the same as the Cool Bananas envelope case I reviewed days earlier. A slim, well-made sleeve.
My internship with Sedgwick Richardson ended last Friday. This is my one-week break before school resumes on 11th August. It'll be my final semester, and I can finally click File for Graduation tomorrow once my bid modules are allocated.
I received the fourth and final Teach a Technophobe challenge last week, though my mom and I were both busy and only finished it today. It asks you to record a video sharing your views on the E75's email.
Gear Zap sent me the Cool Bananas and LArobe netbook cases to review, starting with the Cool Bananas Envelope. I use an Asus EEE 1000HE, and the envelope fits any netbook with an 8.9 to 10.2-inch screen nicely.
My July 2009 site traffic stats: 13,017,194 hits, 892,110 pages and 245,909 visits from 175,508 unique sites. Daily hits averaged 419,909, peaking around 520,000, with roughly 50.1 million KBytes transferred. A noticeably bigger month than the ones before.
Together with 2K Play, we're giving away five copies of Birthday Party Bash on Wii. Just answer one simple question by 7th August 2009: is Birthday Party Bash a Wii exclusive, true or false? Email your answer to enter.
This news is a day late, sorry! Microsoft and Yahoo! have finally joined forces to take on Google, after last year's takeover fiasco. Their 29th July 2009 agreement aims to improve web search and compete harder.
Sharing is caring! qisahn is giving away a copy of Wii Sports Resort. Answer two questions, how many games are in Wii Sports Resort and how many use the MotionPlus, and email them to blog@qisahn.com with your contact details.
Another charity post for good karma. Brother holds a charity auction on Friday, 31st July 2009 at its Customer Service Centre, Gateway East, 152 Beach Road, raising funds for its adopted charity, the Asian Women's Welfare Association.
Per the Windows newsletter, Windows 7 has finally hit Release to Manufacturing and should reach shelves on 22nd October 2009. Microsoft is now packaging the code for PC makers and partners, marking the last milestone before the public launch.
Before you read this, I'm not affiliated with Beds.sg; I'm just raising awareness for a good cause and a little karma. While many of us sleep on thick, comfortable mattresses, plenty of underprivileged people go without one entirely.
My mom helped me RMA my Leadtek PX9800GX2 at Ban Leong after it died last Sunday. Li Xiang was using my desktop when the screen showed grey horizontal lines, then purple squares, before lagging so badly the computer became unusable.
We've been on a ramen frenzy lately. Li Xiang has blogged, with photos, about the supposed three best ramen in Singapore: Marutama Ramen at Liang Court, Sapporo Ramen Miharu at Gallery Hotel and Ramen Santouka at The Central.
Attended the Nokia Ovi Store Showcase at Ben & Jerry's in The Cathay; I love how Nokia always picks novel venues. We could order anything off the menu, even the S$88 twenty-scoop monster. I managed just one scoop.
Challenge #3 of Nokia's Teach a Technophobe arrived yesterday. With my dad finally home to receive it on my behalf, I could start early. This one is trickier, and even I had to puzzle over it.
