Out of the box, the headphone stand comes in two pieces: the base and the stand itself. You have to assemble both pieces using the Allen key and screw provided.
The whole headphone stand is solid and stable, weighing 338g.
The base is weighted with a piece of metal inside the plastic housing. The top and bottom surfaces of the base are overlaid with silicone pads.
The pole itself is made of aluminum alloy, which can be a fingerprint magnet if your fingers are oily.
Like the base, the curved/sloped headphone band placement is made of plastic with a silicone pad at the top to cushion your headphone band.
The curvature of the band placement matches 100% of your AirPods Max.
Even the width matches exactly. Hopefully, Apple will not deviate much from their future AirPods Max 2 measurements.
Although it is designed for AirPods Max, it will work well with any headphones.I have a Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, and they fit well.
