In short, this will affect new and re-contracting customers from 1st July 2012. SingTel decreases data bundle from 12GB to 2GB (2GB is for Flexi Lite, which most of us are on) and increases SMS quota from 550 to 800! Looks like we need to SMS more instead of Whatsapp.
I am pretty disappointed with this announcement actually. Instead of fixing the problem, they chose to cap everybody. Instead of fixing the overloaded base station, they chose to spend S$12 million to buy hungrygowhere.

The unit available in Singapore will be the non-LTE version and instead it will be running on HSDPA+ which gives you up to 42Mbps download speed. I will not put high hopes on that in Singapore *.

Interesting! SingTel is bringing in the 3G/WiFi PlayStation Vita to Singapore! It will be on sale from 14th April 2012. The RRP of it is S$469 and of course if you get it from SingTel, it will be subsidized (price plans located at the bottom of this post)

Sony Tablet S (3G/16GB) is finally available in Singapore as of 13th January 2012 for S$798. Because of the release of Sony Tablet (3G), the price for the WiFi version has been reduced as well.
