Wanted lunch at the Plaza Singapura foodcourt, but found it gone, not sure if it's under renovation or closed for good. Headed to Basement 2 for food and ended at Pasta Mania, trying the Japanese Potatoes.

Wanted lunch at the Plaza Singapura foodcourt, but found it gone, not sure if it's under renovation or closed for good. Headed to Basement 2 for food and ended at Pasta Mania, trying the Japanese Potatoes.
School ended early for us both. Lunch at Scotts foodcourt: Korean food. Kinokuniya at Ngee Ann City to look for Lian's Kinki Kids pictorial book, but no luck, much to her disappointment. Wandered Heeren and the Fourskin shop.
School ended early for Lian and me, so we headed to Compass Point. Lian wanted the Sengkang Community Library, the only one in Singapore with the book she needed not on loan. Browsed around till 5pm.
Friends came over today for our MMAD assignment, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. Since I covered it for DEUI last semester, plenty of info and pictures got reused, saving us the hunt. A new expansion's rumoured.
Went to HMV to buy Lian's Koichi Domoto Shock Digest DVD as a surprise. Meant to meet at Boon Lay MRT, but she called she hadn't finished formatting Jean's computer, so I met her at Jean's.
Lunch at Clementi: wan ton mee from a stall I always visit at Clementi Market, so good. Didn't lunch with Lian; she ate with friends, girls' talk. Took MRT to Eunos, Heartland Mall for dinner later.
My 2nd VB practical, and I'll say it: VB is fun. Imagine building your own Windows application, more fun and less laggy than Java. Maybe I prefer Microsoft. The concepts are the same, only code differs.
School ended at 1pm, then lunch at Tiong Bahru Plaza with Lian. She came over to watch the Chinese VCD I bought, Naked Weapon. Grabbed BreadTalk before sending her home, ages since I had their bread.
My first PC Technology lesson: fun, and the lab was freezing. I'll love this module, learning about computer hardware, known as A+. Re-uploading my site to the Anti-Me server tonight while the Orientek domain sorts out.
Orchard after school with Lian. She wanted to order the Koichi Domoto 2003-2004 Johnny's Calendar Official Edition from Kinokuniya, but the ordering window had closed, a disappointment. Then Heeren, where I bought a new Fourskin t-shirt.
A boring Sunday. Lian and I spent the whole afternoon printing my course notes, at least 200 pages across all seven modules. First time I've been this hardworking; normally I only print them when exams loom.
MMAD and MMAS lectures are so dry and boring; all this semester's core modules are, unlike the electives. The electives are far more interesting, and the lecturer's good. Lunch at foodcourt 4 with Lian's close friend.
Lectures till 1pm, lunch at Clementi since the foodcourt was crowded. Had Katong Laksa, long overdue, and lovely. Took my first Visual Basic lesson, fun, with a good lecturer; the language feels almost same as Java.
School ended at 1pm. Bought my final two textbooks for $60, bringing my total to roughly $200, the most I've spent on books in a semester. Lunch at the Cineleisure foodcourt in Orchard, duck rice nice.
The www.orientek.net domain expired today, too late to renew now. I'll wait for it to be released before buying back. I hadn't realised it would lapse so soon; time flies. Waiting is all I can do.
Thought there was no 5pm PCT lecture, thrilled, but confirming with the lecturer, there is. A six-hour break; no way we're staying in school. Bought two more books for $61: Director 8 and Lingo, plus VB.NET.
School at 10am for breakfast, with a practical first lesson. The old labs upgraded to Pentium 4 2.40GHz with 48x24x48 Iomega writers, some with Philips 15-inch LCDs. All better than my machine; technology dates so fast.
A quiet day: fixed some code and played BroodWar with Lian, then called her in the evening for our chit-chat. Wanted new shoes at Queensway, but the carpark was full, as was the HDB one opposite.
Famous minced pork noodles at BestWay building, months since I had it. A haircut at Everton Park with my grandmother, who wanted a wash too. $16 for cut and wash; I love the scalp massage part.
Here are the site updates I've consolidated over the past months: added a Related Stories feature, used site.php for content, replaced the previous/next links with vBulletin-style page navigation, and simplified the Archives page into something cleaner.
Fetched Lian from Kembangan MRT to my place, where she made a minor fix to my mom's website, 15 minutes' work. Back to Causeway Point for another look, since last time we hadn't covered the centre.
Went to the bank with my mom this afternoon to activate my account, done now. Lowered the debit limit to $1,000 from $3,000. My HWM magazine arrived too, with a microprocessor history feature and NVIDIA review.
