Nokia E75
The E75 is the exact clone of E51 just that it includes a slide out full QWERTY keypad. Thickness wise, it is not much thicker and it sports a 3.2MP camera. It is mean to be a scaled down version of E71. But personally, I will choose E71 over this anytime!
Li Xiang baked butter cookies and cornflakes cookie for me as this year and I did a card for her (using computer) and got her a heart shape candy at Sticky. We exchanged gifts yesterday instead of today as today we were up early in the morning to attend her friend’s ROM at SAF Seaview Resort. It was a very isolated place and parking is really a problem due to the extremely limited parking space. After the ROM ceremony ended at about 3pm, we went to Orchard to take a walk. It was very crowded and I saw many LV and Gucci paper bags, looks like recession has not hit us hard yet or either the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. Saw Andy and his girlfriend at Lucky Plaza.
We have dinner at Tang Dian Wang at Hereen. It was my second time eating at Tang Dian Wang, the first was at Suntec. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. I love the soup there!
This week is my second week of school. Tutorials going to start next week and projects are already started coming in. Going to get real busy after Lunar New Year. That basically sums up my school life so far.
JavaScript In My WordPress Plugins
I have been making use of some of my free time last week to convert 5 of my plugins that uses JavaScript to use jQuery JavaScript Framework instead and also replaced the SACK AJAX Framework to jQuery as well. Instead of including packed JavaScript using Dean Edwards Packer, I replaced it with minified JavaScript using YUI Compressor. Minified JavaScript has better performance even though it is slightly larger in file size when compared to packed JavaScript because the browser do not need to unpacked the packed JavaScript. Also, I have moved the JavaScript from the header down to the footer as it gives better loading times. You can read about it in details on my WordPress Plugins Blog.
Today is the first day of 2009 and I just came back from the countdown at Taoyuan, Taiwan. The countdown was FANTASTIC, Singapore’s countdown is NO WHERE near it.
The temperature in Taoyuan now is between 10° and 12° celsius. Shiok!
