TBCM Exams
The TBCM exam went okay, though I made a slip by not reading a question and missed a four-mark part. Finished in 70 minutes, while Lian was faster at 60. Lunch at Pasta Mania in Funan.

Woke late at 2.30pm. The rain makes sleeping good. Spent an hour cramming VB, with functions, methods, properties and events to memorise. I hate written programming exams; I don't see the point in remembering it all.
Woke at 11.30am to meet classmates for birthday celebration. Went to Orchard early to apply for my Fourskin membership card at the Heeren Annex store; the staff still recognise me. Combined receipts of $150 qualify you.
Another boring day. Woke in the afternoon to watch nine episodes of The Animatrix in SVCD. Mom brought back meat porridge from Clementi, really good. Surfed before an hour studying TBCM; not much to revise, really.
Finally woke before noon, thanks to my mom. Lunch at Heeren during a mall-wide sale, its last day. Black Pepper Ramen at The Nudle Bar, yummy and cheap: four of us paid $36 after the 30% discount.
Slept till 1.30pm, perfect weather for it, with rain falling from 3am through to early afternoon. A slacking sort of day, my webpage and a nap. Dinner at Toa Payoh Lorong 8, then visited my grandfather.
My MMAD exam was okay, though last semester's paper felt easier. Many didn't finish on time; storyboarding eats so much time. Went to Funan alone to browse and have Tuna & Bacon pasta at Pasta Mania.
Woke at 1.30pm and tried some MRT ticket counters for my bus stamp, but all shut for the holiday, a waste of time and petrol. Decided to skip this month; holidays mean I won't go out.
As expected, the same noise woke me early. Next time I'll never buy a second-storey unit unless I have no choice. The notice downstairs says this'll continue till end June; they're doing improvement works on pillars.
Woken by noise from downstairs, no idea what workers are drilling. From 9.30am to 1.30pm I couldn't get a quiet sleep. Living on the second floor sucks with this racket. Spent the afternoon on my webpage.
Lian came over this afternoon to study MMPJ, leaving around 3.45pm. On the bus I realised I'd forgotten a lot: last semester's exam paper, my SP exam letter, and essence of chicken. Lucky I remembered the rest.
Woke at 1pm again and did the usual Saturday routine: studying MMPJ through to evening before a break. Caught Speed on Channel 5 at 7.30, a much-repeated classic. Dinner: my mom's home-cooked western food, baked pork.
Slept till 1pm, then lunch before studying MMPJ, thirteen chapters of lecture slides to get through. That's a lot of information to remember, and I hate memorising; it's not practical. Luckily the paper is case-study based.
VB lecture in the morning, where the lecturer ran through last semester's paper, easy but tricky. Then to Marina Square for the minced pork noodles I crave every visit, though Lian isn't a fan of them.
Three lessons at school: TBCM, MMPJ and VBAS. Checked my MMPJ assignment with the lecturer: an A. My VBAS interview at 2pm; I'd hoped to go first and leave early, with the lecture tutor interviewing us.
IGRA was my first exam, and it sucked: hard, with too little time. I hope I pass, or fail marginally so I scrape through overall. Waited four hours for MMAS, the opposite: easy, plenty of time.
The Half-Life 2 rumours I've been tracking all week turn out to be true: it's launching by the end of this year. Rejoice. According to Planet Half-Life and CS Nation, the game is scheduled for release.
Woke afternoon and bought lunch from my downstairs coffeeshop, months since I had its wan ton mee. My area has two coffeeshops: one famous for lor mee, the other for wan ton mee and western food.
First lesson was the IGRA revision lecture. Turns out the exam is this Wednesday, not Saturday, clashing with MMAS. I'll need to study harder. Luckily IGRA is open-book, so manageable; it's MMAS I'm more worried about.
Went to pray this afternoon, with exams looming, for quick recovery and good grades. Lunch at Bugis Junction; I'd wanted Mos Burger but settled on Swensen's, since my parents hate fast food. To Funan with uncle.
Came down with flu today: runny nose and a slight cough, but no fever. The SARS outbreak is getting bad, thanks to China covering it up since last year. Met Lian to watch Bullet Proof Monk.
Woke in the afternoon, feeling much better after battling my sore throat. Something's wrong with my computer though; on booting Windows, I get only the desktop wallpaper, no start menu and no icons. A real headache.
