Lenovo Windows 8 Convertible Devices

On the 30th October 2012, Lenovo announced a new range of convertible devices that is designed for Windows 8. They called it convertible devices instead of laptops/notebooks because those devices are more than just a simple laptop/notebook.

IdeaPad Yoga
The IdeaPad Yoga 13 and IdeaPad Yoga 11 allows the screen to be rotated though a 360° angle and switch between laptop and tablet mode. The hinge has been stressed test though a 25,000 times rotation.

The IdeaPad Yoga 13 has a full fledge ultrabook specifications with Intel Ivy Bridge Core Processors on Windows 8 Pro while the Yoga 11 is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 running on Windows RT.

ThinkPad Twist
The ThinkPad Twist as the name implies allows you to twist the screen to switch between laptop and tablet mode. Not really a fan of this as the twisting is a little clumsy and stiff when compared to the IdeaPad Yoga.

ThinkPad Tablet 2

My favourite product of the launch! It is 10.1″ Windows 8 Pro tablet and it is light (~600g). It also includes an optional 3G data connectivity. The only downside is that it is powered by Intel Atom SoC processor.
