SINGAPORE April 29, 2008 – Microsoft today announced it is lowering the estimated retail price (ERP) for its Xbox 360 consoles in Singapore. At the new ERP of S$499 for the Pro version with 20GB hard drive (previously priced at S$620), the Xbox 360 will give consumers more accessibility and opportunity to join the high octane world of interactive digital entertainment from Microsoft.
The prices of the Xbox 360 Arcade and Xbox 360 Elite will be lowered too. The Xbox 360 Arcade is now S$399 (previously S$459) and the Xbox 360 Elite with 120 GB hard drive is now S$699 (previously S$799).
Got the Xbox 360 Pro Console at a special price of S$450 at Funan’s Challenger, the usual price is S$669 Thanks so much for Ian for the help he given in this. I think a couple of us who went to the Xbox 360 2nd Anniversary Private Party held early this month also bought it at that price. I think I am the first one to collect it though.

Yesterday, 3rd April 2008, I was invited by Ian Tan from Microsoft to a private Xbox 360 Anniversary Party at The Screening Room (Theatre). That was my 2nd time I have been to The Screening Room.
Publishers such as EA, Atari, LucasArts, THQ, Namco Bandai, Rockstar, and Team Ninja were there to give us a sneak peek of their upcoming games. What we see are mostly confidential and hence no photos or videos can be taken.
Got my copy of Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath from The Software Boutique for S$89.00. The bundle includes the game itself and a limited edition Razor Deathadder mouse which really looks ugly with the EA logo replacing the Razor logo.
I did not even complete Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars because my computer will restart every 15 minutes once I tried to play the game, which I think is due to my graphics card (ATI Radeon X800XT) heat issue. I bought this game to collect it and once my new computer comes in June 2008, it is time to play.
Nseries WOM World has selected me to help Nokia beta test N-Gage and they even sent me a Nokia N81 8GB all the way from UK to Singapore by DHL.
According to the user agreement, the phone will be on loan to me for 2 weeks, but hopefully they can extend it for me as I am still waiting for my Nokia N82 from Nokia Singapore (it has been 3 months, sigh).

Vivendi and Activision to Create Activision Blizzard – World’s Largest, Most Profitable Pure-Play Video Game Publisher

Epic and Midway Announce Unreal Tournament 3 PC Has Gone Gold
Midway and Epic today announced that Unreal Tournament 3 has gone to gold master for the PC. Developed by the team behind the critically acclaimed video game Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3 is currently scheduled to ship in North America on November 19th for the PC with a suggested retail price of $49.95 and $59.95 for the collector’s edition. The PlayStation 3 version will follow soon.
