Cheeky Monkey

We meant to go Zouk yesterday but a private NUS Bash was on, so we headed to Cheeky Monkey at Mohamed Sultan instead. Charlene, Jean and others got there first, with more joining later. The hip-hop wasn't my thing.

A busy stretch, though I should stay home more. On Monday I was home all afternoon, then went jogging with Calvin and YongTang. Three weeks since my last jog, I managed only five rounds at 12 minutes before stopping.

Eventful Weekend

An extremely long post. On Friday I went to school for a job-hunting talk; it was okay, though much of it overlapped my Technical Business and Communication module. I dropped by Food Court 6 but didn't eat, still full.

The weather is lovely today; rain is always the best time for laksa or steamboat. So I went with my mom for Depot Road laksa. It's also our internship's last day, though I've school tomorrow for a job-hunting talk.

Funny: Company Memo

I saw this funny article on the last page of 8 Days issue 709 and liked it enough to share. It's a Company Memo welcoming staff back after Labour Day and advising of new rules now in force.

The Punisher

I saw The Punisher last night, quite a good movie with a decent storyline and action, definitely better than Daredevil; a must-watch for Marvel fans. It opens in Singapore around the second week of June.

A few of my friends are already infected by this very widespread virus, even though the patch was released weeks ago. If you got infected, you deserved it; be a responsible user and keep your Windows up to date.

50 First Dates

We had our ninth weekly dinner at Novena Square. We'd gone for the Malaysia Tour Fair and, unsure what to eat, settled on Magic Wok on the top level when we spotted it. The food was average but quite cheap.

Ayer Rajah Building Cave-in

Remember I asked what would happen next in Singapore? One dead, five missing, fifteen injured in an Ayer Rajah building cave-in. Singapore has been very eventful lately. A grim reminder of how quickly things can go wrong here.

Weekend Recap

On Saturday I went out with Calvin and JingWei to Suntec and tried Burger King's new burger, which was average, the new cheese nuggets too; I still prefer the cheese sticks. We spent the whole time talking about NS.

Some Rants

StarHub MaxOnline was down for over 15 minutes yesterday. I first thought it was just me, but after texting and calling friends, I realised it was all of Singapore. I tried their hotline, but it was engaged the whole time.

Kill Bill Vol 2

Kill Bill Vol 2 opens in Singapore tomorrow, finally rated M18; I doubt they'll censor much, as it isn't as gory as Vol 1. It runs about two hours, but Vol 1 had more fight scenes.

I watched Ichi the Killer, a very gross movie; Kill Bill is nothing compared to it. Overall it was okay, but the ending is very weird. I also downloaded Zatoichi, an NC16 film that's good.

My New Crumpler Bag

Yesterday, after dropping my brother at tuition, I went to Tampines Mall. The whole area was packed with nowhere to park, likely due to a national Monopoly competition, so my dad parked at an HDB carpark above the S-11 coffeeshop.
