Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2
Similar to its predecessor the new YOGA Tablet 2 models focus on technology that adapts to users, making computing intuitive and fun. The tablet also comes in two operating systems â a 10″ model with Windows and one year of free Office 365, as well as 8″ and 10″ models that come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Powered with the latest Intel Atom processor multimedia, playback and rendering make the tablets great for multitaskers. Its dual, large-chamber speakers are front-facing for dynamic audio, while Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master HiFi ensure a multi-channel listening experience just like the movies. Sporting a number of useful features such as a Micro SD card slot and a micro USB with OTG connection that lets users charge their phone (requires separate cable), users can also enjoy extra-long battery life while staying mobile longer in any of its four modes. For complete online connectivity, all the Android models offer 4G, while the 8″ Android version also offers the ability to make voice calls.
Derrick Koh who is the Head of Communications for Lenovo in the Asia Pacific drop me a message on Facebook and ask me whether I am free to attend the Lenovo’s booth media tour. Since I am available, I pop by the Lenovo booth together with Jason Goh.

IdeaCentre Horizon
The IdeaCentre Horizon was the first thing that caught my eye at the event because it looks like a Microsoft PixelSense. It is running on Windows 8 Pro with Lenovo own’s Aura interface. It is still a little pale in comparison if you compare it with Microsoft PixelSense interface.
On the 30th October 2012, Lenovo announced a new range of convertible devices that is designed for Windows 8. They called it convertible devices instead of laptops/notebooks because those devices are more than just a simple laptop/notebook.
IdeaPad Yoga
The IdeaPad Yoga 13 and IdeaPad Yoga 11 allows the screen to be rotated though a 360° angle and switch between laptop and tablet mode. The hinge has been stressed test though a 25,000 times rotation.

I was invited by Derrick to attend the first Lenovo Blogger Night which is held at 7atenine (pronounced as 7 8 9) located at the Esplanade Mall. Food and drinks were good, ambiance as good as well as there were not many people. There were about 20 of us, about 10 where bloggers and the rest were Text 100 or Lenovo Staff. There is the first time I attended a Lenovo event. I was supposed to attend one last year but was unable to make it as my Dad is leaving for Vietnam the next day.
Besides food, there are 5 new upcoming computers, 4 laptops, and 1 desktop. I am not able to get a clear shot of the computers because spotlights are used and if I do, my shadow will block the image. If I use flash, the shadow problem will be gone but the picture will be overexposed!
