Together with the Sanyo Eneloop Glitter Batteries, they also sent me the Sanyo Eneloop Quick Charger NC-MQR06W. The package comes with 4x AA batteries and is retailing for SGD$55.90.

The batteries are Made in Japan while the charger itself is Made in China. It can charge up to 4x AAA or 4x AA batteries at once.

The charging time are as follows for Sanyo Eneloop AA (2,000mAh) and AAA (800mAh) batteries are as follows:

• 1x AA – 75 mins
• 2x AA – 110 mins
• 3x AA & above – 220 mins
• 1x AAA – 65 mins
• 2x AAA – 100 mins
• 3x AAA & above – 200 mins

There are LED indicators for each battery charging status. Blue LED means it is charging and once it is done, the light will go off.

Always wanted to get the Sanyo Eneloop Glitter AA Battery because it just looks so nice!

Luckily for me, the PR agency of Sanyo Eneloop sent that to me for me to feature it on my blog after seeing I am such a Sanyo Eneloop fan as I have a featured section on Sanyo Eneloop!

Anyway back to Sanyo Eneloop Glitter AA Battery, each AA battery has a capacity of 1,900mAh and all of them are Made In Japan.

It takes me about 2 hours to fully charged all 4 of them at once instead of the usual 4 hours as I am guessing the battery is already half full. Sanyo Eneloop batteries can hold the charge really well, I have some batteries that I have fully charged and I left it there for about 6 months and the the battery is still full (tested with battery tester).

There are 8 glittering AA batteries in the Eneloop Glitter pack and the colors are purple, pink, orange, yellow, light green, light blue, silver and black. They are currently being sold at Meidi-Ya Supermarket, Best Denki, Selffix D.I.Y, Sprint-Cass, and other electronic stores for SGD$49.90.

8 Glittering AA Batteries

Bought the Mophie Juice Pack Boost from Apple (Singapore) Online Store for SGD$69.90. I can’t seem to find it in any Authorized Apple Reseller stores in Singapore. Instead they are still selling the older model, the one with 1,500mAh battery (Amazon Link) instead of this 2,000mAh one.

The Mophie Juice Pack Boost is bigger and much lighter than it looks. I was expecting it to be more compact in size and heavier, but surprising it is lighter than any of my Eneloop Chargers that I bring along in my bag whenever I am out (which is a good thing).

Another advantage of the Mophie Juice Pack Boost is the built-in Apple 30-pin dock connector‎ and hence you do not need to carry an extra Apple Dock Connector to USB Cable along with your backup battery which normally allows you to charge via USB port.

As mentioned earlier, the battery in the Mophie Juice Pack Boost has a capacity of 2,000mAh and this allows you to fully charge any iPod/iPhone models even if the battery is totally empty in your device.

It does charge your iPad but at an extremely slow rate since it only output a maximum of 1A. The iPad requires at least 2.1A for a proper charge.

The Mophie Juice Pack Boost also acts like a dock which holds your iPhone upright while it charges (see the last picture embedded in the post).

Got the Sanyo Eneloop Standard Charger NC-MQN09 at Challenger at Funan for SGD$29.90 (after member’s discount is SGD$26.91).

I was deciding between 2 variants, the Standard Charger NC-MQN09 (SGD$29.90) or the Basic Charger NC-MQN09 (SGD$22.90). The price difference is SGD$7.

I end up choosing the NC-MQN09 because for SGD$7 extra, you get US-plug compatibility, microprocessor to control the charging and 2x blue LED to give you obvious indication of the charging status which you can double it up as a night light as well.

This charger can charge 4x AA or 4x AAA batteries and the charging status is split into 2 sets (set A and set B) of 2 batteries each and each represented by 1x blue LED.

Sanyo Eneloop Stick Booster KBC-D1BS was announced in Japan back in August 2010 but unfortunately it is not available in Singapore. My mom’s business friend came to visit us on a business trip and I asked him to help me get the Eneloop Stick Booster from Japan. It cost 2980 Yen which is about SGD$46.30. I like it because of the design.

It is capable of outputting 5.0V/500mA through its output port but unfortunately, you can’t charge your Eneloop batteries in it as there is no input/charging port. It has a rating capacity of 1,900mAH and hence it should be able to full charge your iPhone at least 1 time. For more detail specifications, check out this pdf file.
