Lester Chan’s WordPress Plugins October 2007 Update

As promised, I have release updates to 12 of my plugins and added 2 new plugins. All of them are compatible with WordPress 2.3 but not all of them are backward compatible with WordPress 2.1 or 2.2.

The 2 new plugins are WP-DownloadManager and WP-PluginsUsed. As the name of the plugins suggest, WP-DownloadManager simply enhanced your WordPress by adding a simple download manager to it. WP-PluginsUsed will displays both active and inactive plugins that you are using in your WordPress blog.

Be sure to read the readme.html and checkout the changelog for more information and most importantly NOTE THE TABS AT THE TOP

    Since the 2.3 upgrade, my clients can no longer add images to their sidebar. Is there a plug in or a code for this. They are authors and like to have their cover art on their blog. Thanks, ML

    ps, I will be adding several of these plugins to their sites and my own. Thanks for the great addons!

    First of all, great plugins!!
    There’s a ‘bug’ in WP-PostRatings: after you rate a post and the fade out/in occur, the load_plugin_text_domain function is not being called (for the file is being called directly), causing the ratings over text (the image alt) to be in english instead of portuguese!

    Excellent plugins. Thank you very much for doing this.
    I found a bugs in the WP-Postview/WP-Postrateing. If a post subject has char “‘”, it shows up as “’”. It would be great if these plugins work with pages as well.

    BTW, your site takes over 45 sec to load from Canada. Though it’s worth the wait, that’s a big slice of my online life. I did some experiment on reducing latency. Please check out http://ywywy.com/q/tag/wordpress/ . I’m going to donate so that you can keep up the good work and improve the speed of your site.

    BTW..

    There are some “translating” issues in the plugin (wp-downloadmanager)
    you can find them in:
    download-uninstall.php Lines:102
    download-manager.php Lines:440,600

    you’ll directly discover what I mean just by looking there :P

    I think it was for viewing the total number of files..
    because it is showing 110.. which I assume, is a result of the loop located above the that line.
