I am on Singtel 10Gbps Enhanced Plan with a bridged Singtel ZTE F8648P ONR, so I don’t have a double NAT problem.

For my UniFi setup, I have two limitations. I don’t have space for a server rack and can’t ceiling mount my Access Points (APs).

In Singapore, when people want to buy a budget or value-for-money monitor, the first brand they will consider is usually Prism+ because of all the marketing they have done.

There is also another alternative in the market, Apex+. Apex+ is a gaming peripheral brand by Ulti. You probably have seen the brand Ulti occasionally on Shopee or Lazada. They are probably one of the top stores on Lazada and Shopee selling monitor arms, stands, and TV mounts.

Synology BeeStation is a user-friendly alternative to services like iCloud, Google Photos, and Google Drive, aimed at everyday consumers rather than IT professionals or DIY enthusiasts. It comes with a preinstalled hard drive and preconfigured settings, providing an out-of-the-box experience that lets users start uploading files and backing up photos immediately.

I would consider the Synology BeeStation a consumer Network Attached Storage (NAS) targeted at first-time consumers who want to get a feel of NAS and how it fits into their daily workflow.

Why?
I was using the Asus ZenWiFi BQ16 Mesh Router since November 2024. After the initial trial and error of various settings to make it stable due to its buggy firmware, it was stable for over 6 months, including surviving a power shutdown.

However, things changed one weekend in July 2025. I woke up and noticed none of my home automation is running. To my surprise, all the wireless networks in my home are gone. First, I plugged my Ethernet cable into the BQ16 to determine why. To my horror, I did not get an IP from DHCP. Tried a couple of restarts of the BQ16, but the issue remains.

I had not heard of the Mova brand before. That is, till Dasher contacted me to see if I was interested in reviewing their products. It is the same scenario as with their Dreame brand 3 years ago, when I reviewed the DreameBot L10s Ultra.

There are two variants to Mova P50. Mova P50 Ultra and Mova P50 Pro Ultra. The price difference between them is S$300.

I have had the Ubiquiti Unifi 10G Ethernet Adapter in my Shopee shopping cart for a few weeks now. But because it is expensive, it remains in my cart. Sinseng Components sells it for S$299 on Shopee.

When the Singtel Technician came to setup my 10Gbps, he was using the Orico Thunderbolt 10GbE Network Adapter. I was casually asking him if it was expensive, and he told me it was one of the cheapest he could find.

I just upgraded my Singtel 1+1Gbps Fibre Pro Gamer Bundle to Singtel 10Gbps Enhanced Plan since my contract will expire on 4th September 2025, and it will revert to the original pricing of S$73.58/month. Right now, I am paying S$58.58/month.

Singtel 10Gbps Enhanced Plan will cost me S$74/month, and after the contract ends on 22nd July 2027, it will revert to S$139/month. Hopefully, by then, 10Gbps should come down to about S$50 for Singtel.

In my Benks ArmorGo Power Bank post, I mentioned that one of the shortcomings of the powerbank is the lack of Qi2 certification, and hence the wireless charging speed is limited to 5W.

My use case for this retractable cable is for travelling. Currently, I will bring a short 15cm USB-C to USB-C cable to use with my powerbank (like the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Magnetic Power Bank 10K), as sometimes I need to charge my iPhone quickly. It is faster to do it via USB-C instead of wirelessly via MagSafe.
