I bought the ULTi Anti-Fatigue Mat from Shopee for S$53. The retail price drops to S$60 during Christmas, and Shopee has a S$7 voucher for S$50 spent. It is slightly more expensive on Lazada during the same period, as it retails for S$63 over there.

There are two sizes for the ULTi Anti-Fatigue Mat: Mini, which measures 81 cm x 51.5 cm, and standard, which measures 99 cm x 51.5 cm. The price difference is about S$5. I chose the standard size.

2024 is the inflation year and is the year I turned 40. Everything went up this year. GST went from 8% to 9% in Singapore. In 2023, GST was increased from 7% to 8%. In hindsight, it might be better to increase from 7% to 9% straightaway rather than break it up into 2 years. The increase in GST twice worsens the inflation.

Gadget
Probably the most interesting gadget I bought in 2024 got to be the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer.

ULTIDESK Xtreme Standing Desk is Ulti’s high-end standing desk. Ulti entered the standing desk market with its first desk, the ULTIDESK Evolution Standing Desk, in January 2024.

Two months later, they introduced their second standing desk, ULTIDESK Xtreme Standing Desk, which boosts dual motors, rear-hinged cover, RGB light strip, 15° front slope, and OLED handset controller with RGB Backlight.

There are two variants of the Ulti Flex Monitor Arms, the Ulti Flex Single Monitor Arm which retails for S$79.90 and the Ulti Flex Dual Monitor Arm which retails for S$119.90.

Ulti Flex Monitor Arms supports -40° to +40° tilt, 180° swivel, and 360° rotation. Each arm can support up to 9 kg; hence, it will fit most 17″ to 32″ computer monitors. For VESA mounting, it supports both 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm.

ErgoTune Supreme V3 (2022) is in its third iteration and hence the official name is called ErgoTune Supreme V3. The first one being the ErgoTune (2019) and the second one being the ErgoTune Supreme V2 (2020).

Installation
Because the ErgoTune Supreme has been in the market for more than a year, the assembler has gotten very experienced in setting up the chair. My ErgoTune Supreme V2 (2020) took two guys 20 minutes to assemble the chair as I am the fourth one in Singapore to have it.

I have been using the ErgoEdge AmpDesk Standing Desk since June 2018, before all the COVID-19 and Work From Home (WFH) events. COVID-19 came in January 2020 and accelerated WFH. So when people WFH, they need a proper environment to work from home. And if they do have that, they will need a good work desk.

So that started a sudden surge in people buying standing desks. And I believe the demand for standing desks is still happening today because just when you thought it was over, Omicron came and said hello.

I bought an Atlas Headrest for my Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair during Lazada’s 7/7 sale.

The store selling it is called AudioSG and the official retail price of it is S$280. After all the discounts on 7/7, I paid only S$232.18 for the headrest.

Martiangear is a new gaming lifestyle brand in Singapore. They are a new kid on the block when it comes to gaming chairs. This is after Secretlab, APOL, Royale Ergonomics, and many others.

Besides gaming chairs, they will have a few upcoming gaming products in their pipeline, like gaming tables and gaming peripherals.
