Bolse 25W (5V/5A) 4-Port USB Wall/Desktop Charger

When I received an email from Bolse asking me to feature their products, I was pretty skeptical because I have never heard of Bolse before. So I went to do a search on them and realised that their products received pretty good ratings on Amazon and the prices are pretty reasonable. They are the direct competitors to brand like Anker.

The first product I gotten is the Bolse 25W (5V/5A) 4-Port USB Wall/Desktop Charger, which is retailing for US$18.99 (S$24) on Amazon.

Blockey

Blockey is a key management system that can simplify your pockets without spoiling the integrity of design and practicality. It is made of Aluminum 7075 which is known for its strength and scratch resistant components. Aluminum 7075 can also be found in bike shafts, rock climbing gear, aerospace applications, etc.

I backed Blockey on Kickstarter on the 12th October 2013 and it was funded successfully on 14th January 2014 after raising US$39,742 out of their initial goal of US$21,000.

Belkin 6″ Lightning to USB ChargeSync Cable

I bought a few cheap China imitation USB to Lighting cable from DealExtreme and the quality is really horrible especially when it comes to fitting the Lightning end to your iPhone. After that, I told myself I will never get any cheap Lightning cable anymore.

The Belkin 6″ Lightning to USB ChargeSync Cable is the shortest USB to Lightning cable that I can find that is of good quality. Apparently, it seems to be an Apple exclusive and I can only get it from the Apple Online Store in Singapore. I can’t even find the cable being listed on the official Belkin Singapore website.

Apple MagSafe to MagSafe 2 Converter

Recently, my company bought for me an Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13″ (Late 2013) and it uses MagSafe 2 instead of MagSafe 1 power adapter because all MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Retina after June 2012 ships with MagSafe 2 power adapter.

I have an extra Apple 85W MagSafe Power Adapter at home and I needed a converter for it.

Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13″ (Late 2013)

My current work laptop is a Apple MacBook Air 13 Inch (Mid 2011). Despite getting it back in March 2012, the laptop itself is a 3-year old model. My company, migme, has a policy to change laptop every 3 years and this time round, they bought for me a 13″ MacBook Pro Retina (Late 2013).

The processor is a 2.4GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz) with 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM and 256GB PCIe-based Flash Storage. This configuration cost S$2,368.

Adobe Creative Cloud 2014

2 weeks ago, on the 18th June 2014, Adobe revealed it’s biggest update of its Creative Cloud software yet. The update includes major updates across their desktop apps, new mobile apps for iOS, Creative Cloud SDK and a new Creative Cloud Photography plan.

With this major 2014 update, Adobe has decided to put in the year together with the software name in the window’s title of the application. For example, in the window’s title, it now says Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 instead of just Adobe Photoshop CC.

Martian Notifier

I have not heard of Martian Notifier before, but apparently they do have pretty nicely designed watch that incoporate analog clockface and will display notification from your phone through it’s smart notifications app.

Martian Notifier’s Smart Notifications App
Martian Notifier’s Smart Notifications App allows three unique levels of notification support: it first lets you filter the notification types you want sent to the watch, so you receive only those that are most important to you. It secondly allows customized vibration patterns for each type of alert, letting you know if you’ve just received, for example, an email, text message or news alert without even looking at your watch, let alone your phone. Finally, you can recall the most recent message with just a tap of the watch face, or scroll through multiple past notifications for a quick review.
