BTT Test
Visited Takashimaya foodcourt for the first time since its renovation. I'd gone once before, found the food pricey, and stayed away until today. Surprised the prices were reasonable; not cheap, but fair. It was raining heavily.

Visited Takashimaya foodcourt for the first time since its renovation. I'd gone once before, found the food pricey, and stayed away until today. Surprised the prices were reasonable; not cheap, but fair. It was raining heavily.
Education Minister Teo Chee Hean announced on Wednesday that all Singapore schools, up to junior colleges, will close until Sunday, 6 April. It's a precaution against the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) spreading across the region.
Went to school for TBCM, only to find a note on door: the lecturer's on MC. Came for TBCM, so if he'd told us earlier I needn't have come. Already there, I did my MMPJ presentation.
After school to Bugis Junction to replace the zip on Lian's Kipling bag. Tea break at Delifrance, where a promotion got me a Tuna Baguette with soup for $3.50, my cheapest meal yet, since their food's pricey.
From today I'm 19, a year older, and hopefully wiser. This site turns one too, born from my WEBP assignment; the first post is exactly a year old. Time flies. I treasure those good old times.
Slept till 1.30pm, then lunch at the Bugis Junction foodcourt. We went because my brother's Kipling bag zip broke, replaced at the Kipling store. I grabbed a PDA case from the Sony Gallery, a painful $49.
School for IGRA and PCT morning. PCT mattered: the lecturer told us which chapters to tear and submit for grading. The lecture hall floor was carpeted in paper scraps, like it snowed. I pity the cleaner.
Spent my MMAS practical doing Task 6, paying little attention to the lecturer. It's so tedious; a screen can take four or five hours, and your eyes are shot. After hours, Task 6 isn't half done.
Came early to discuss my FYP. The proposal's almost done. School ended at 1pm for Lian and me. Lunch at the Funan foodcourt, then to collect my Sony Clie, but stock hadn't arrived; the shipment's delayed.
The TBCM lecturer turned up; this term focuses on job interviews, so I need a resume and to hunt for jobs online or in papers. Found three I like. There's more demand for Java than C, C++ or ASP.
Learned to place lighting and materials in IGRA using OpenGL, otherwise a quiet school day. Went to Ngee Ann City's renovated Mos Burger; same space, but it seats more thanks to the layout. Love the cosy seats.
Depot Road laksa for lunch before IT Show 2003 at Suntec City with my brother and mother. Spent three hours, I bought a Sony Clie PEG-T665C/GD PDA on offer, $499 with a free 64MB memory stick.
Delifrance breakfast, courtesy of my dad, who picked it on his way back from fishing in Sentosa. Continued my MMAD Task 6, finishing the Main Menu Screen after four hours. Hoping to complete two screens tomorrow.
Usual Friday lessons, plus handing in the FYP group form. The proposal's due 21 March, a week away. The stress is mounting, with so much due soon: FYP proposal, MMAD, MMAS and more crowding the fortnight.
TBCM didn't show, wasting my time; I could've slept in, it being the first lesson. With two slots, that's two free hours. It's Elaine's 19th, so I grabbed a coffee cake from Bengawan Solo at Clementi.
Two practical tests today, IGRA and MMPJ. IGRA came first, so easy the lecturer was giving marks away, I finished in an hour of a two-hour test. MMPJ was average, considering I barely studied; scored 12/20.
Breakfast at school before my PCT online quiz, meant to last 90 minutes for 50 questions, but I finished in 20 and scored 83/100, second highest. A classmate topped with 86. Then my VBAS practical test.
Breakfast at school before my MMAS practical test, which I'd thought ran two and a half hours, not two. It was tough; I spent 30 minutes on a Lingo script, getting it working minutes before time.
I've wanted to rant about this for ages: taxi drivers are worst on the road, as today's incidents confirmed. They act as if every road belongs to them, stopping anywhere, anytime, to pick or drop passengers.
Woke at 12.30pm, my latest since school reopened. Lunch at Swensen's in West Mall, trying something new: Black Pepper Seafood Pasta with Cookies & Cream milkshake, both good. To Bukit Batok Driving Centre for BTT evaluation.
Last night my friend Shaun called from his bunk to plan our joint birthday celebration with our secondary school mates; his birthday's a day after mine. He says army life's good: pretty slack, with counselling on.
Stayed in except for dinner; Mom brought lunch back. Spent the afternoon studying MMAS and playing some Warcraft III before napping till evening. To Queensway Shopping Centre for my brother's spectacles, dinner at Alexandra Food Centre.
