The Jabra Sport Coach is retailing in Singapore for S$248 and is available in three colors, Blue, Red and Yellow. It is sort of the younger sibling of the Jabra Sport Pulse (S$298) which I reviewed back in May 2015.
Coach vs Pulse
The Jabra Sport Coach is S$50 cheaper because it doesn’t come with the in-ear heart rate monitor of the Jabra Sport Pulse. Surprisingly, the dimensions and weight of both the Coach and Pulse are the same, measuring about 18mm x 21mm x 32mm (H x W x D) and weighing 16g. I guess the weight of the Pulse’s in-ear heart rate monitor is being replaced by the Coach’s TrackFit Motion Sensor. The TrackFit Motion Sensor measures your distance, pace, steps, cadence and calories burned more accurately for cross-training and running.
The Jabra Sport Pulse Wireless Earbuds is retailing in Singapore for S$298. It is a Bluetooth 4.0 wireless in-ear earphones with a built-in in-ear heart rate monitor. According to the specifications, the heart rate monitor has a 99.2% accuracy when compared to a medical electrocardiogram (ECG) machine. I can’t really verify it since I don’t have other heart rate monitor to test with.
Prices will still remain the same which means the Klipsch Reference R6 will be retailing for S$129 and the Klipsch Reference R6i will be retailing for S$169.
Bought the Bose MIE2i Mobile Headset from Apple’s West 14th Street Store in Manhattan for US$116.96 and after 8.875% tax, it comes out to US$127.34 (S$161.50). The usual price is US$129.95 but Bose in USA is giving a 10% discount during the holiday period. With the 10% discount, it is about S$37 cheaper when you compared it to the official retail price of S$199 in Singapore.
I am pretty impressed with the Bose MIE2i, it sounded better than Klipsch Image S4i II with regards to clarity and bass and from a non-audiophile point of view, the sound quality is on-par with the Klipsch Image X10.
Bought for Li Xiang the Klipsch Image S4i II because she lost hers and she love the S4i! The Klipsch Image S4i II was Amazon deal of the day during the Amazon’s Black Friday week.
Got it for US$39.99 (S$50) (looks like Amazon is still selling it for the same price). In Singapore, it is retailing for more than three times the price at S$169!
The Sony MW1 Smart Wireless Headset Pro is retailing for S$168 at Xperia concept stores and Sony stores. The Sony Smart Wireless Headset pro is a Bluetooth stereo headset that can stream music from your phone via Bluetooth’s Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and can function as a standalone MP3 Player/FM radio.
While I was in MWC 2012 for Nokia Press Conference, they gave out the Nokia Purity In-Ear Headset by Monster to all the attendees! Of course they are not in retail boxes to prevent you from reselling them.
If you want to get it in the Nokia retail shops, they are available in 4 colors, Black, White, Cyan & Fuchsia (Pink). They are retailing it for S$148.
My brother got me the Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi from Amazon and shipped to Singapore via Borderlinx as Amazon do not ship certain items directly to Singapore. It cost US$64.99 (S$86) after discount, original price is US$169.99 (S$225) and Singapore RRP is S$299. My brother bought 3 and shipping charges for all 3 Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi is US$25.34 (S$33.55).
I kinda like the wire of the UE SuperFi 5vi as it does not get entangle easily as compared to Klipsch Image S4i. There are more earbuds included in the package (including foam ones).
Was finding a suitable replacement for my Creative EP-630i Stereo Headset. I considered Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5vi (S$299), Bose In-Ear Headphones (S$179) and Klipsch Image S4i (S$169) but eventually settled for the Klipsch Image S4i because it was recommended by my colleagues and it fits my budget. I like the 3-button remote control that comes with it and it works well on my iPhone 4.
Heard from my colleagues and surfing Hardware Zone forms that this quite difficult to find it in stores. So I stumbled upon Treoo and Bluetin that sells the Klipsch Image S4i. I eventually chose Treoo because it is cheaper and it doesn’t charge me extra for paying with my PayPal.
