Backed the Kero’s Micro USB Nomad Cable on the 18th September 2013 and it got successfully funded on the 18th October 2013 after raising US$24,313 out of their initial goal of US$14,000.
The project was on schedule which is rare for Kickstarter projects. It was due to ship on November 2013 and it got shipped from the US on the 29th November 2013 and I got it 4 days later on the 2nd December 2013!
Backed the Crabby Wallet on Kickstarter on 9th April 2013, the project got funded on 3rd May 2013 with a total of US$308,838 raised though the initial goal was only US$10,000. I bought 2 Crabby wallets, an orange for myself and a pink for Li Xiang. Paid US$16 + USD $16 + US$5 (shipping) = US$37 (S$46).
They have some mixed up and instead of pink, they shipped a purple to me despite the contents on the delivered envelope stated pink. But Ryan from Crabby Wallet is kind enough to send me a new pink Crabby Wallet and at the same time I get to keep the purple! Thank you Ryan!
limb.al was the 10th Kickstarter project that I backed and the one that got delayed the longest! I backed the project on 15th May 2012, got funded on the 8th June 2012 and was supposed to ship in September 2012. But unfortunately due to delays after delays, I finally got it almost a year later on 1st August 2013.
I kinda regretted backing this. Paid US$55 (S$70) which includes free worldwide shipping for 3x limb.als + 2x accessories (2m meter female USB extension cord or USB car charger). I chose 2x Micro USB limb.als and 1x Apple 30-pin limb.al. For the accessories, I chose 2x 2m meter female USB extension cord, but when I received it, I only got 1. If you look at the comments left behind by other Kickstarter members, they are basically condemning it.
I was one of the early backers for OCDock (Kickstarter). I backed the project last year on the 4th December 2012 and the project got funded on 22nd December 2012 after raising US$107,979 despite the initial goal was only US$49,000.
The project was delayed by a few months, it was suppose to be shipping in January 2013 but I only got my last week on the 10th May 2013.
I was one of the early backer of Flybridge. I backed the project on 29th December 2012 and the project got funded on 1st February 2013 after raising US$19,365 (the goal was US$15,000).
As I was the early backer, I am entitled to get the Flybridge for just US$10 and hence I bought two and shipping is an additional US$10. In total I paid US$30 (S$37.20). Flybridge shipped on 28th February 2013 and I received it on 27th March 2013.
Pebble Watch was the 9th Kickstarter project that I backed. It broke the Kickstarter record of the most highly funded Kickstarter project. It’s initial goal was only US$100,000 but it raised US$10,266,845 from 68,929 backers.
The project started on 11th April 2012, I backed it the next day on the 12th April 2012 and it got funded on 19th May 2012. After almost a year of development, my Pebble Watch got shipped on 10th February 2013 and I finally received it on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2013.
Cubby: Coat-hook + Storage Unit is a Kickstarter project that got funded middle of this year on the 6th May 2012. They raise a total of US$53,707 despite the initial goal is only US$29,000.
When you backed the project, you can get Cubby for US$19 (S$23.20) and international shipping is an additional US$8 (S$9.76).
Elevation Dock was the 8th Kickstarter project that I backed. I backed it this year on the 7th February 2012 and the project got funded on the 12th February 2012. They raised a total of US$1,464,706 out of the initial goal of just US$75,000. It was supposed to be shipped in April 2012 before iPhone 5 was announced but unfortunately, there was a delay and I only received it 6 months later on the 18th October 2012.
I pledged US$79 for the Elevation Dock+ in glass bead blasted finish. The Dock+ adds shielded Line Level audio out plus USB power adapter and for international shipping it is an additional US$20. Paid a total of US$99 (S$121).
