I finally got my posting order, a month after downgrading. As of yesterday, 14th November 2005, I've been posted to SAFTI MI, INTEC, the Instructional Design and Development branch. I had mixed feelings, since it wasn't quite what I'd expected.

I caught Tim Burton's Corpse Bride at Cathay Cineleisure; it was rather average, so I wonder why 8 Days gave it 4.5 stars. There's also a new Sony Gallery at Paragon, much bigger than the Wisma Atria one.

WeiLian won Project Superstar, though I was rooting for Kelly; I never voted, since at $0.60 an SMS I'd rather buy a drink. I think Project Superstar is bigger than Singapore Idol overall, which says a lot.
There's a new Japanese restaurant, Pepper Lunch, at Ngee Ann City, opposite Yoshinoya. They serve teppanyaki-style steak, chicken or hamburger on a special hot plate heated to 200 degrees Celsius, then slowly cooling.
I caught Land of the Dead two weeks ago at GV Grand, quite a good show, better than Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil 2. I love zombie and war movies, but sadly none seem upcoming.
I caught Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Cineleisure. It was good, short, sweet and straightforward; if you've read the book, I'd recommend it. I also had Subway for lunch, and I'm now rather addicted.

I caught The Island last Sunday at GV Grand, a good film set in the future with very cool gadgets, especially the table-sized tablet PC, which I'll get when it's available. It's about human cloning.
The next version of Windows will be called Windows Vista, previously codenamed Longhorn. Personally, I still prefer the name XP. I suspect 2006 will bring a whole series of software ending in Vista, like Office Vista.
I caught War of the Worlds last week at GV Plaza, about 150 minutes long. The start was okay, but the ending rather sucked. It's quite similar to Half-Life 2, with three-legged machines destroying cities, but full marks for creativity.
I caught Batman Begins last week at GV Plaza, around 150 minutes. It was good, the best Batman film yet, and a sequel is confirmed, set to introduce the Joker. We also celebrated our eighth month together at Kuishin-bo.
I watched Mr & Mrs Smith at GV Jurong Point, around two hours. It was funny and worth a watch, though as with all action movies the stars dodge every bullet. My favourite line: Honey, you missed.
I finally bought a notebook at PC Show 2005, the first customer for the Fujitsu S6240 at $3,488. Free gifts included an extra 512MB DDR2 RAM, a Bluetooth USB adapter, a USB phone charger and an optical mouse.
I caught Madagascar at GV Grand on Saturday afternoon, an unlucky day as the ticketing system was down and they couldn't check our seats. They asked us to print tickets at the AXS station, but the card wouldn't fit.
