Adobe Creative Suite 2 (CS2) which was released on 2nd April 2005 is now FREE, yes FREE as in $0, you can download it from the official Adobe CS2 Download Page or from the table below which I copied out.
Do note that for the Mac version, it will not work with the current generation of Macs as it is meant for Power PC based Mac instead of Intel based Mac. You need to be using Mac OS X 10.2.8 to 10.3.8 or Rosetta in order to get it to work.
Alienware recently opened their second Alienware Arena in Singapore at Level 3 of Lucky Chinatown. This Alienware Arena is conceptualised by Alienware from the group up. The first Alienware Arena in Singapore is located at #B1-01/02/03 of Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station (NE6) and that was bought over from JCube Cybercafe and rebranded to be Alienware Arena.
Alienware Arena @ Lucky Chinatown houses about 140 Alienware’s X51 desktops with Dell ST2420L monitors, Alienware keyboards/mouses and Razer Goliathus (Control Edition) mouse pads. I wished they ditch the Alienware keyboards/mouses for Razer keyboards/mouses instead.
I think the Timbuk2 Dime Bag is a discontinued product, I could no longer find it on timbuk2.com. That explains why it is 50% off at Cineleisure’s Timbuk2 shop. The usual price was S$29, and now it is selling for 50% off (S$14.50). The only colors available are red and green.
Do note that the Timbuk2 shop at Cineleisure has moved from #02-03 to #02-10 (beside Xin Wang Hong Kong Café). The shop name has also been changed to Bratpack.
The Dell S2440L 24″ Monitor (SDG$379) is part of Dell’s new S series monitors which includes S2240L 21.5″ (S$249), S2340L 23″ (S$279) and S2740L 27″ (S$549).
The S2240L and S2340L monitors are virtually borderless, while the S2440L and S2740L monitors are almost frameless, with flushed edge-to-edge glass on a glossy screen.
Thanks to Benjamin Eng and his cousin who helped me to buy the Nike+ FuelBand (Black Ice) from the US. I tried purchasing it myself and sending it to a freight forwarder, but both my credit card and PayPal payment could not go through! I guess they also ensure that the payment must be done with a US credit card or a US PayPal account.
I paid a total of US$180 (S$220) to Benjamin’s cousin. The actual breakdown is as follows: US$149 (Nike+ FuelBand) + US$15 (Express Shipping) + US$8.80 (Tax) = US$172.8.
I launched lesterchan.net v3.0 on the 5th June 2008. More than 4 years later, it is time for a change in design/layout. I decided to go back to the light color theme because it is easier to match colors and icons.
Welcome to lesterchan.net v4.0. It is built using Boostrap with icons from Fatcow and the new logo is done by Li Xiang. Because it is built using Bootstrap, lesterchan.net now incorporates responsive design.
In my Looking Back 2011 post, I mentioned that I wanted to get a new iMac and a MacBook Air to replace my ageing desktop and MacBook Pro respectively and I did it.
For 2012, my resolution/wish is pretty simple and much cheaper! I just want a new iMac to replace my 4 year’s old desktop and a MacBook Air to replace my 4 year’s old MacBook Pro as well!
Been waiting to order the new Apple iMac 27″ (Late 2012) since it was announced back in 23rd October 2012 to replace my 4 years old desktop. Apple Online Store (Singapore) made the new iMacs available for order on the 30th November 2012. I placed my order on the very day using my brother’s name from the Education Store since he is still a student in National University of Singapore (NUS).
I maxed out the specifications for the 27″ iMac except for the 756GB SSD option because it is way too expensive. After max specifications, the iMac itself cost S$4,349 and I bought Apple Care which is an additional S$218. In total, it cost S$4,567.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 is a 16.2MP with 4x Optical Zoom digital camera, on top of that it is water, shock, dust proof and able to operate at low temperatures. I got it from Amazon for US$149.99 (S$183.14) when they are having it as the Gold Box Deal of the Day.
I placed order for the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 on the 13th December 2012 and on the 19th December 2012 it reaches my HopShopGo US address. Paid HopShopGo US$12.44 (S$15.19) for the shipping to Singapore and I received it exactly on Christmas, 25th December 2012! Didn’t know DHL do delivery on Christmas day itself!
