In short, this will affect new and re-contracting customers from 1st July 2012. SingTel decreases data bundle from 12GB to 2GB (2GB is for Flexi Lite, which most of us are on) and increases SMS quota from 550 to 800! Looks like we need to SMS more instead of Whatsapp.
I am pretty disappointed with this announcement actually. Instead of fixing the problem, they chose to cap everybody. Instead of fixing the overloaded base station, they chose to spend S$12 million to buy hungrygowhere.

Since our first preview release last September, millions of people now use the pre-release product on a daily basis and millions more have been taking it through its paces, totaling hundreds of millions of hours of testing. We genuinely appreciate the effort that so many have put into pre-release testing, and of course, we appreciate the feedback too. Samsung Galaxy SIII will be available in Singapore from Wednesday, 30th May 2012. It will be retailing for S$998 (including taxes & without contract) at all 3 operators (SingTel, M1, StarHub) in Singapore.
Preorders will begin the day before on Tuesday, 29th May 2012. For M1, the launch event is at M1 Shop Paragon on the 29th May 2012 from 9pm till 12am. StarHub will also start from 9pm on the 29th at their shops but only for customers who have indicated their interest with them previously.
Pre-ordered my copy of Diablo III: Collector’s Edition from Amazon on the 14th March 2012, it was shipped on the 17th May 2012 (1 day after the official release) and I got it on the 20th May 2012 (didn’t know DHL delivers on Sunday as well).
The game itself cost US$99.90 (S$126.60) and shipping (normal) cost US$19.98 (S$25.30). Paid a total of US$119.97 (S$152) for it.
I have been using Panic‘s Coda 1 for almost 30 months since I started work at mig33. I have been waiting ages for Coda 2 and today my wish came true!
Coda 2 will be available from 24th May 2012 onwards from the Mac App Store as well as their own online store. The pricing scheme is a little tricky. For the first 24 hours, Coda 2 will be on sale at 50% which is US$49, after that it will be back to US$75 and after certain time frame it will be back to the original price which is US$99.
Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia U & Sony Xperia sola are now available in Singapore across all Sony stores, Sony centres and Xperia concept stores as well as local telcos (SingTel, M1, StarHub).
Sony Xperia P will be retailing for S$688 in silver and black.
Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in Singapore from Saturday, 26th May 2012. It will be retailing for S$849 (including taxes & without contract) at all 3 operators (SingTel, M1, StarHub) in Singapore.
The unit available in Singapore will be the non-LTE version and instead it will be running on HSDPA+ which gives you up to 42Mbps download speed. I will not put high hopes on that in Singapore *.
Was invited to the Sony Walkman Z Series Launch held at Helipad yesterday. The first product to be launched under the new Walkman Z Series is the Sony Walkman Digital Media Players Z1050 (microsite).

CableKeeps was the 4th Kickstarter project that I backed. I backed it last year on the 11th August 2011 and the project got funded on the 9th September 2011. They raised a total of US$37,498 out of the initial goal of US$35,000.
My pledge was US$28 and an additional US$10 for shipping (total US$38) for a choice of any two units (Nibbles, Goldie, or Gulp). I chose Goldie and Gulp.
