Hans At Pickering Street

Had lunch today with my Mom at the newly open Hans at Pickering Street. To be more exact, it is located at 1st level of Pidemco Center. The design of this Hans looks very grand. It was like eating in a hotel coffee house, the music and ambient. I think this will be their main branch outlet as there is a bakery there too.

Played a round of Warcraft III with Lian in the afternoon before she went off. After that went back to coding. Now must again design a layout for my this news system. Read several web development forums regarding security and efficiency issues on PHP. Learnt alot about them after reading it, and when I look back, all my previous coding works was not that efficient and there are some security loop holes. Sigh.

Bad Morning

Had a bad morning. Woke up, went to take a bath and when I wanted to turn off the tap, the tap cannot be turned off because some parts of the tap broke. Further more the water is not leaking out, is flowing out. Quickly took out extra pails as not to waste those water. Woke my brother up to look after it, while I went downstairs to off the main water switch for my home.

Rush off to meet Lian at Clementi after that for breakfast. As it was still early after eating breakfast, went to Jurong Point for a walk and to return Lian’s library books. She is really a bookworm. LOL

Handphones & Sim Card

Woke up in the afternoon today. Went to buy my brother’s Nokia 6100 from M1 shop at Paragon. After trading in Nokia 8250, pay around $220 for the phone. My brother’s old Nokia 7210 will be giving to my mom. So unlucky my mom’s sim card cannot be used in the phone because it is too old. I think it is more than 5 years old.

Went to Hello@Orchard to get the sim card upgraded. Singtel service is quite good except for the buying of phone. The CSO change my mom sim card which is GSM 1800 to GSM 900 and transfer all the phonebook contacts in the old sim card into the new sim card free of charge. That time went to M1, they cannot even transfer.

Very Crowded PC Show

Had minced pork noodle for breakfast/lunch at bestway building. Came home and went out with my uncle again to Singapore Expo to see the PC show exhibition. He wanted to buy digital camera.

It is a Saturday, everywhere was so packed. Take me about 10 minutes to walk from the screening area to the expo hall because there were so much people, we are like pigs queuing up waiting to be slaughtered. LOL

Finding Nemo

Woke up very early today. 8.30am. LOL. Met Lian at 10am for breakfast at Tampines’s MacDonalds. Ate the Singa porridge. They put so much ginger in it. I think I am eating ginger porridge rather than chicken porridge.

Watched Finding Nemo at 11.30am. Movie lasted about 100 minutes. I like the movie, cool animation, nice storyline and humorous at the same time. Must watched if you are a cartoon lover. But beware of small kids making so much noises like talking in the cinemas.

Sony Ericsson HPR-20

Had lunch with my mom today before proceeding to United Square to buy my radio plus portable handsfree attachment(HPR-20) for my T610. It costs me $54. LOL. This is the first time I have been to United Square after it undergo a major renovation. Looks so much nicer now. There is a few food stalls at basement 1. Ate Ya Kun Kaya Bread plus 2 half boil eggs plus teh si peng from there for my teabreak. So nice. Especially their eggs. Perfectly done.

Came home, did some programming and played a few rounds of Warcraft III with Lian. My news system stuck at the sticky news thing. Don’t know how to solve. Must think harder.

First FYP Meeting

Woke up early today, at about 9.30am to meet Lian for an early lunch. Ate the minced pork noodle at Marina Square and proceed to Mos Burger for a drink. Great combination. LOL

Walked around Suntec’s City before proceeding to school for my first FYP meeting. The client was late for about 15 minutes, but it doesn’t really matter. He leaves quite a good first impression on us. Looks young and he has 5 kids already. He speak very fluent English. He also said that we look so enthu about this project. LOL. We will be doing 2 websites for him. 1 is the information website for the parents, the other is for the kids. The websites will be related to Selective Mutism.

Timeslot Fully Book

Woke up before 12pm today, thought that my mom would come and fetch me earlier, but end up waited until 2.30pm. Had lunch at Clementi Hawker Center, love the Wan Ton Mee there. $3 the portion so big.

Went to BBDC(Bukit Batok Driving Center) and wanted to book for my practical lessons. But all the timeslot is full. The next available timeslot will be around July. Somemore one lesson not cheap, add up to around $70 to $80 for 100 minutes. Average we need to take about 25 to 30 lessons. No wonder BBDC is so rich.

Coding Madness

Woke up in the afternoon as usual. Mom bought back one of my favorite vegetable, Hainanese vegetable rice from Pasir Panjang Hawker Center and the very nice teh-si-peng(Ice Milk Tea) from the drink stall there. Now is School, seldom go Pasir Panjang Hawker Center and eat breakfast, if not last time, almost everyday I will be there for breakfast.

Spent the whole afternoon, evening and night coding my own new project. Haven’t really think of a name for it yet. It will be a news/blogs publishing system. Some parts will be in OO(Object Oriented). I am still learning OOP(Object Oriented Programming) in php. School used to teach Java in OO, thus I hope I can pick it up quickly as the logic is about the same.

Cheese Sausage

Woke up quite early today at about 9.45am because going to pray my granny and pray at the Waterloo Street temple. Prayed my granny first before having breakfast at Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh. After that went to Waterloo Street to pray because I have gotten my results.

Went to Bugis Junction after that to look at my brother handphone. He wanted to buy Nokia 6100 but my mom and I keep telling him to buy Nokia 7250 because the trade-in value of that phone will be higher than Nokia 6100 next time and the price different of the phone is only about $100. Haha, but he is still undecided.
