Hey, it is undated, it should not change at all =)

» Posted By Lester Chan On 13th April 2011 @ 10:07

WordPress 3.1

I don’t think is a char encoding issue, more like a permission issue or a conflict with plugin/theme.

As you mentioned, the file is there, so something in WP or your theme/plugin or just server permission of the folder/file is filtering the request before it actually hits the wp-polls.php.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 10th April 2011 @ 20:35

Check if there is any .htaccess which is normally hidden? Since you said the files is there, some permissions must be messing around preventing the script from being access vai the url

Nothing to do with the upgrade, your file is not even there http://pheroes.net/wp-content/plugins/wp-polls/wp-polls.php

Ensure that it is chmod to 644

WP-PostViews 1.60

Good point, after so many years, I didn’t thought of that. It does get overwritten.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 30th June 2011 @ 08:39

WP-PostRatings does. WP-PostViews does not. Take a look at the readme.html under Usage Tab. You can specify span instead of div.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 30th May 2011 @ 08:03

WP-Admin -> Settings -> PostViews

» Posted By Lester Chan On 30th April 2011 @ 16:58

Ivaseg: This site is on WP 3.1.1 and running WP-PostViews. Are you using WPMU?
rubi: That is up to your theme.

Code Injection Follow Up

Yeap, I checked that out after that, but I have no use for it.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 17th February 2011 @ 19:24

WP-PostRatings 1.61

Create a file name called .htaccess to “wp-content/plugins/wp-postratings/” with the content:

< Files postratings-admin-ajax.php >
order allow,deny
deny from all
< /Files >

Remember to remove the spaces since I can’t embed code properly without a plugin.

You can’t add no-follow to that page since it is not a HTML page at all. I have no idea why Google is indexing that page.

Drop me an email (lesterchan AT gmail) with more details and how you narrow down/reproduce it is WP-Polls problem. If I can reproduce it on my end, I will fix it.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 18th April 2011 @ 23:09

Hey, unfortunately there is no importer for WP-PostRatings =(

» Posted By Lester Chan On 19th February 2011 @ 11:39

You should, I upgraded this site using the Admin Panel

» Posted By Lester Chan On 17th February 2011 @ 18:52

WP-Polls 2.61

Thanks =)

» Posted By Lester Chan On 23rd May 2011 @ 08:15

On this site or on your own site?

» Posted By Lester Chan On 15th March 2011 @ 22:20

Based on my guessing, the 3 polls table, wp_pollsa, wp_pollsq and wp_pollsip is not created for you. It maybe you are using WPMU

» Posted By Lester Chan On 27th February 2011 @ 21:08

Sorry but I am unable to reproduce this problem. Try another fresh copy of WP 3.1 with WP-Polls. It might be a conflict with your theme or existing plugins.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 27th February 2011 @ 11:25

Unlikely as I am not a big fan of captcha =)

WP-Polls & WP-DBManager Bumped to v2.60

Dark Overload: Could you email me the patch instead? lesterchan AT gmail
Leo Koo: Google for memory exhausted WordPress. I think you are encountering that

» Posted By Lester Chan On 26th December 2010 @ 21:31

My bad, in the mean time you can make use of the one in v2.50, run an update and it will extract out all the text

» Posted By Lester Chan On 15th December 2010 @ 11:52

This plugin works with WP 3.0 out of the box. A good example is this site.

» Posted By Lester Chan On 27th November 2010 @ 16:18

Hi Michael, WP-Polls supports HTML code, you can try typing HTML code inside. As for field length, it is part of the structure (in the DB col), I don’t recommend you changing it unless you know what you are doing.

Hi Stats, I am no longer taking on any WordPress Projects =)

» Posted By Lester Chan On 25th November 2010 @ 09:02

Thanks for the compliments. YOURLS is started by me, but Ozh (http://planetozh.com/) another WP guru put in tremendous effort in taking it to the next level =)
