The iPhone 4S will be launching on 28th October 2011 at 12:00am (27th October 2011 midnight) at Suntec Convention Hall 402 (Hall F).

This time round, Apple Singapore has made the iPhone 4S available for pre-order 1 week before the official launch of the iPhone 4S with the telco.

Here are the price plans for SingTel iPhone 4S:

Apple iPhone 4S is now available for pre-order at Apple (Singapore) Online Store.

All iPhones sold in Singapore are UNLOCK sets.

Both the black and white iPhone 4S are available and the prices are as follows:

  • 16GB – SGD$948
  • 32GB – SGD$1,088
  • 64GB – SGD$1,238

Right now the shipping is still 1-2 weeks time and one customer is allowed to buy 2 sets only.

This time round, the iPhone 4S is more expensive than the iPhone 4 when it was launched.

When iPhone 4 was available in Apple (Singapore) Online Store last year, the prices are as follows:

  • 16GB – SGD$888 (SGD$60 cheaper)
  • 32GB – SGD$1,048 (SGD$40 cheaper)

Received an email from Guyi Shen who is the director of Lobangclub which is an iPhone App (for now). I find the app pretty cool. It is similar to ShopSavvy and Singtel’s Price Pal.

What is Lobangclub?

Lobangclub is a free Singaporean app that finds you the best deals on any product. We do this by contributions from you, our community of shoppers. We already have over 500,000+ products in Singapore.

How to use?

  • Step 1: Scan a barcode on the product you want to buy.
  • Step 2: You will receive a list of all the shops in Singapore that sell that product and the prices.
  • Step 3: You can help us by either contributing a price or verifying that the price is correct.

It uses your Facebook credentials for login and the UI is pretty good.

I tried the barcode scanning on 2 items (Panadol ActiFast & Nescafe Blend 37), it works perfect and even give you a picture of the product after you scanned the barcode.

I am able to get the price for the Nescafe Blend 37 but no price is available for the Panadol ActiFast. If there are no prices available, you can tap on the “Got lobang?” button and it will bring you to a screen for you to add the price, location of the item and even indicate a sale period.

I wish they have a karma or reputation points system, to entice users to submit prices and the community can mark them accurate by a “like” or something.

  2. SingTel has 2 plans for 200Mbps Fibre, the one I stated is the cheaper one.
  3. SingTel bundle lots of crap to their Fibre plans, you will need to check their site for more information.
  4. M1 did not state their International Speed and Installation Fee.
  5. If you are going to reference it on your website or blog, please give the credits where it is due =)

SingTel has announced their price plans for OpenNet Fibre Internet connection. From tomorrow (1st September 2010), you can register your interest in the high-speed fibre services at www.singtel.com/exstream.

SingTel OpenNet Price Plans

If you ask me, it is still pretty expensive. I hope they will have a exPress 200 plan because exPress 150 plan is not really a huge jump from Starhub 100Mbps cable.

For more details, check out the press release:

Singapore, 31 August 2010 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) is pleased to announce today that it will be offering a comprehensive suite of affordable consumer and business applications on its high-speed fibre services to retail customers. SingTel will also offer carriage-based high-speed fibre services on a wholesale basis to retail service providers (RSPs).

Leveraging the Next Generation National Broadband Network (NGNBN) deployed by OpenNet and SingTel’s own extensive fibre infrastructure, SingTel will provide unparalleled service quality and speeds to both retail customers and wholesale to RSPs. Customers can look forward to a range of high-speed fibre services with downlink speeds of up to 200Mbps, uplink speeds of up to 100Mbps and international bandwidth of up to 25Mbps. SingTel’s fibre network is scalable and capable of providing even higher speeds in the future to meet the needs of our retail and wholesale customers.

SingTel will launch a high-speed fibre service, known as exStream, with downlink speeds of up to 200Mbps. Customers can choose from three new packages which are designed with relevant applications, and with consumers’ needs in mind to enhance their lifestyles at work, at home and at play.

With the exPress portal, customers can freely express their personalities as well as stay closer to their loved ones anytime, anywhere. They will enjoy features like unified messaging, online storage and sharing of multimedia content and high quality multi-party video chat.

With unified messaging, customers have single access to multiple social networking sites and enjoy chat aggregation. They can customise their exPress homescreen for easy access to their favourite multimedia content like news, videos, music etc – all on a single online web portal.

With the exCite service, customers can experience the world’s best video search engine allowing customers to find the widest range of online video content and stream them smoothly from sites like YouTube and Tudou. Customers can create their own entertainment channel and experience limitless internet content, right from their TV screen. exCite also gives customers access to Singapore’s first TV Apps Store, starting with a catalogue of over 30 TV games. The Store is based on an open TV platform enabling developers to easily create exciting applications. A gesture-based remote control and predictive text searches in English and Chinese offer easier navigation.

With exCite Home and exPlore Home bundled plans, customers will be the first in Singapore to watch pay TV programmes through fibre, while enjoying the benefits of the high-speed fibre services like the exPress portal. exPlore Home Sports also combines the best of mio TV Sports package, including the interactive applications with the high-speed fibre access as an integrated plan.
